Thanks Yeahyeah! Smile When I was younger I learned how to pronounce designers by loyally watching "Style with Elsa Klensch"...now I'm out of the loop. Wish there was something like that still on.

My favorite perfume is Thierry Mugler Angel. I've been mispronouncing it for years Sad

There is no way I can pull off that french accent. I've lived in North Carolina for 40 years...I'm from the south ya'll. The folks around here mispronounce Walmart...they add an S and make it Walmarts. Thanks for the link though!~

That's a really cool link .. there's many that I've been mispronouncing! And even hearing the proper pronounciation ... I would probably not remember how to say it properly anyway. Laughing

yeah, its like ur so used to saying it ur way, its difficult to saying it differently.
and it just seems weird and fake if u put on an accent to say those designer names!
why cant they have easy names like david jones !?

Forget the designers... I have trouble with varous countries version of L'Occitane.

Now, my French nowadys is woeful, but I would have though the correct pronunciation was "Lock-ee-tarne" (ee as sound of "easy"), but I have heard SAs pronunce it "Lox-ee-tarne"... Confused

C'mon Frenchies.. does the double-c make it an "x" sound? Question Embarassed Laughing

The first "c" is prounounced as a hard "c" - like "cuh", then the second liaises with the "i" to make the same sound as the first two letter of "sit". So it's "lock-sih-tan"

Here's a fun trick question:

Who can pronounce the name of the designer with the little horsies on the shirts?

It was the best huh?! Very Happy Do you know if there is anything comparable on TV currently? There was Behind the Velvet Ropes w/ Lauren Ezersky...but I'm not even sure if that is on either/it still wasn't as good as Style with Elsa (from what I can remember).
