Hello!

I'm currently using Bare Escentuals in Medium Beige and find it ok, but by the middle of the day I'm super shiny and it's not especially matte when I first apply it.

I really like the MMU thing and find it loads quicker than liquid foundation, but as this is the only brand I'm familar with, I wouldn't know where else to start!

If anyone can recommend a product which gives a more matte finish and is easily available in (or to ship to) the UK, please let me know!

My skin is combination with oily t zone.

Thanks!

I recently switche to Laura Mercier and really like it a lot. I will purchase it again and I have tried BE and didn't like it either. Before Laura Mercier I used GloMinerals which is more matte than Laura Mercier and I really liked also - but I like Laura Mercier better.

Alima mineral foundation is the most matte I've ever tried.. Perhaps, a little too matte for me. Laura Mercier MMU atleast gave me some glow.

I agree with Lisey, Alima is quite matte. But if Alima doesn't work for you, you could try Everyday Minerals matte formula but Alima gives better staying power and coverage. I would NOT go for Laura Mercier, I get quite a glow from LM, I don't mind it but I can imagine a lot of oilier girls would hate it. My skin also stayed the most matte with Alima compared to all the other MMU I've tried (Lumiere, EDM, LM, Lauress). Most MMU give a slight glow and are not entirely matte so hopefully Alima will work for you.

I currently use Jane Iredale Pure Pressed Base and find this to be the best matt based mineral makeup I have found so far. I order mine here from EDS, or fromwww.perfectskindirect.co.uk. I apply this with the Jane Iredale Handi. You don't have to buff (like Bare Essentuals - I have also used this brand and also found it to be too shiny) you basically just brush it on in downward sweeps. They also do a Pure Matte Base, which I use for my T-Zone. HTH Very Happy
