After reading the forum, I noticed that you guys in Canada or America both used high ranked products. Don't you use product that is cheap? In Hong Kong, we have many choices on cheap brand from Japan. Let me know if i am wrong.

Hi gwynethhung! No, we don't use only high-end products - there are a few "best drugstore finds" threads that you'll probably come across if you do a search...I know that there are definitely many members who swear by products that are not really expensive at all! Very Happy

gwynethhung,

Please tell me which brands from Japan are cheap. How cheap they are in comparison with those from France? Are they effective at all?

Yes,cosmetics is cheaper in Hong kong sometime cheaper than the manufacturing area.

check out Strawberrynet.com its great for value as good brands are very expensive in Ireland. Its based in Hong Kong and its free shipping all over the world. All the products are authentic. Japanese brands tend to be expensive but they are a crazy price here. Strange that they can ship the cosmetics, skincare and perfume half way around the world and sell it to customers right beside the manufacturing countries and at a cheaper price.

I would say that I use Moisteral, Lac-Hydren, used to use Vasaline but I find Rosebud Salve is a lot better. Neostrata is really good but it was not strong enough to unclog my pores. Prescription was the way to go for me.

Actually, cosmetics are duty free to Hong Kong. So they are cheaper in Hong Kong compared with those imported to mainland China. However, all the brands come from overseas. So, the price will be increased to 5o% or 70% compared those in manufacturing country. For example, vichy, jurlique and Dr H are very expensive in Hong Kong where they are cheaper in France, Australia and German. While shishedo, sofina, fancl are rather inexpensive compared with that in Hong Kong. However, there are many sublines from Shishedo or Kanebo that are rather cheap just like maybeline or loreal in America. Moreover, there are many cheap brands from japan or korea which are not well known and sold in Hong Kong. Sisters usually try out and comment on the forum. Then we can search the effectiveness and go to buy one.So, we don't usually use high rank brand.
