I have been reading posts lately where some of our members have said that they were not impressed with the Renewing Pack. I tried a sample and was not impressed myself. I though it would be interesting to take a poll of those of you who have used or sampled the Renewing Pack to see what you think! Comments are of course welcome. |

I also would love to hear what's the magic about this renewing pack...I am comparing it to sisley's flower express gel which you don't have to rinse off. my skin feel so moisturized and soft with sisley one, but not with renewing pack. first of all i dont like the texture, it's thick and white. secondly the smell, thirdly it doesnt absorb well, i had to apply a lot for a thick layer.
and my face feels exactly the same before and after, so what's so good about the mask? i am here with all my ears.... |

gracedhy actually I voted bad reaction because it irritated my skin but I was not impressed at all with the mask anyway. Yes I experienced a cooling sensation due to the menthyl lactate in the product but I also felt some irritation when I had the mask on. My face felt a little greasy when I rinsed it off and I can honestly say that my skin did not look so great afterwards. Maybe this is due to the fact that it was irritating my skin but I definetly did not have a glow and my pores did not look refined. I do believe that it did help moisturize my skin some but I was not super impressed with the hydrating abilities of the mask.
The first ingredient is water, the second mineral oil, the third propylene glycol, the next three are DNAs then the menthyl lactate. I suppose that the mineral oil can act as a barrier to keep moisture in and the DNAs can help with hydration. Other than cooling the skin I am not sure what the benefits of the menthyl lactate are supposed to be. I know it is a derivative of menthol. So if it is anything like menthol it may work by slightly irritating the skin which could cause increased blood flow resulting in a temporary glow to the skin. Judging from my experience with the mask and looking at the ingredients, I honestly cannot say why this mask is or should be so fantastic.
I am waiting for the Renewing Pack devotees on our forum to give their opinions. From what we have been reading on the forum, I would expect the totally impressed option to win! |

I am happy with the product but would not buy it as I much prefer the Purifying Pack which suits my skin type much better. |

This is an interesting topic for me, as I had always wondered what the active ingredient/s were (and if they were worth the price)
Have been using the renewing pack for a couple years now, although not on any regular basis, just when I feel I need it - sometimes 3 or 4 days in a row, sometimes twice a day, then maybe not for a month. I do feel it gives my skin a boost or glow when I haven't had much sleep or am stressed out, but agree it is only temporary, and have no idea how it works.
Well I'll continue to keep it on hand for those times I need it, but there probably are alternatives at a better price. |

I had no visible results with this product. I was wondering why everyone else seems to LOVE it (so many raving reviews on the EDS Forum!).
I guess I'm not the only person that didn't like it, afterall. |

It is interesting that so far most of the votes are for not impressed. I guess it is too early to tell though since I am sure that a lot of the Renewing Pack users have not voted yet. (There has to be more than 11 forum members that have tried this!!!)
Since I only posted the first five ingredients above I thought I would post the full ingredients since I don't want anyone to think that those of the only ingredients in the mask. Who knows maybe someone will see the full ingredient list and will see an ingredient that would explain why this mask should be so great!

it's nice to know i'm not alone..i was surprised that i wasn't thrilled since i've heard so many ppl raving about how miraculous the renewing pack is
but i've only tried the sample..so i actually only used it for a couple of times..to give a fair answer, i guess i'd have to use it for a longer period to be able to tell |

This really proves that Sonya Dakar Omega 3 is really the best product that gives you that glow look without clogging your pores.
Last time I applied Valmont Renewing Pack, I was happy with it but I still think Sonya Dakar is better. |

I cast another "not impressed at all" vote just now.
EDS was SUPER DUPER kind enough to include the sample in my first purchase. And i am eternally grateful for the sample, for without it i would have wasted a FORTUNE on something which didnt do any visible difference after using it.
me too, again, wondered why everyone LOVES it . i did nothing for me. didnt salvage my tired looking skin.
nothing. |

I really dislike this mask too. My skin looked worse after using it, even though I really wanted to love this mask. I have a full size and I've only ever used it once. I think for drier skin types then this mask would work well, but not for oily/combo skin, or those who are prone to breakouts. |

I only had a sample of it and I was not impressed and hence did not purchase the full-size. I get similar effect from cheaper masks. |

Recently I have used samples of this much talked about Renewing Mask. I totally enjoyed it and my skin looked well rested and hydrated after using it. Right now I can not justify buying it. Decided to get myself a pretty bracelet instead. |

Agree with Wild Cat, the Valmont Renewing Pack is a nice mask but it's not any better than other, less expensive masks. Jurlique Deep Penetrating Cream Mask gives the same result and is much better value for money. |
