Hello everyone, I haven't posted on here for a while, but I have still been viewing. Anyway, what I would like to know, is if anyone has ever used or heard of Erythromycin and Isotrexin Gel. Since winter, my skin has been all over the place, and I constantly seem to have spots. Today, I went to the doctors and he prescribed Isotrexin Gel. I have recently reintroduced MD Formulations back into my routine and this seems to be helping with clearing up my skin, but not really stopping spots. On the packet it is described as Isotrexin contains erythromycin 2% and isotretinion 0.05% in a gel. Isotrexin Gel is only available on prescription and is described as being similar to Vitamin A, it affects skin cell growth and makes cells less likely to block pores, preventing spots. Erythromycin is an antibiotic which is effective against the bacteria which are involved in acne. Now, the other thing I would like to know, is if I use this, should I treat it as if I was using Retin A? Any Retin A users, please could you advise me on how I can fit this in with my current skin care routine - what to advoid and maybe what else can help. Sorry if this sounds so complicated, but never having used anything like this, I am a bit concerned that I might end up over doing things and make matters worse. Would appreciate any responses. Thank you all. |
