Curse you Frederic Fekkai and your summer marketing scheme!!! I just got back from Vicky's (Victoria's Secret) and dropped 40 bucks on the Summer Hair Beach Waves and Zero-Humidity Frizz control. There is also a "wash and wear" shampoo spray of sorts, a hydrating gel and a product called "Summer Hair Bandana" that has a UV protection in it as well as a conditioner.
I really like FF (glossing cream and luscious curls creme are good...the straightening balm is killer) and saw the Humidity Frizz control in my Sephora catalog (it's all but sold out temporarily on sephora.com)
Now I'm sitting here with killer hair and no place to go. I've had my hair up in a pony tail while I ran errands today in this gawd-awful heat and just used the Summer Waves spray (can be used on damp or dry hair). It's a limited edition so if I really like it I might stock up like mad.
I shake my fist at you FF for making me spend more money on my credit card! (Just picture angry face and fist flying here)
Oy.
Anyone else try it?
ETA: the thing I like about the Summer Hair line is it can be used on wet/damp hair. A lot of FF's products are for dry hair. I usually wash and if I style in the AM, the product needs to be for wet/damp hair. |

I don't think the summer beach spray is that different from the wave creating spray..that one's always around. You may want to check the ingredients before stocking up. I did get these too, what else is new. I do like the beach spray, works esp. well if your is already curly. For the cdns, Holts carries FF. |

I've used the Wave Creating spray and this is totally different than that (from my experience). I hated the WC spray because it made my hair sticky and I couldn't use it at all on hair that was even the slightest bit wet.
This on the other hand, doesn't leave my hair a sticky mess. I will do a comparison on ingredients though right now...

I was at first hesitant to buy the wave spray, as I had tried the regular one. But as soon as I read that I could use it with damp hair, I assumed (you know what assuming does though ) it was different so I took the risk.
I'm glad I did. My husband does commented on my hair. He's been working from home all day and not paid me any mind (he gets in "the zone" and I might as well not be here! haha). FF must be on to something.
I'm going to use it for a week or so before I make any final decisions. It just sucks that it's a limited edition!!! argh! All the good stuff is always limited. FF put a glitter spray out during the holidays and I love it when I go someplace fancy...I have two bottle I am coveting and trying to make last! |

I just recently purchased the Zero Humidity Frizz Control but have only tried it one time. It was not humid when I tried it over the weekend, but wanted to see if it would weigh down my fine hair. It did not weight it down at all. But, I'm not too sure I liked the way my hair felt after using it. I will have to wait for a humid day to see if it actually does control frizz, but so far, I think I prefer Phytodefrissant to this product. |

The Summer Hair looks cool. My local Vicky's stopped carrying Fekkai. I have no idea what they're thinking. I was in there yesterday and the girl kept trying to sell me the Vicky's brand hair stuff. Pffbt.
(Not to high jack the thread, but don't you wonder who makes the 'Very Sexy' makeup they sell? It's not bad stuff.) |

I actually initially went in for Nars yesterday...they don't carry it anymore. Now what I found was pout (which is just "eh" in my opinion) and entire section of their Very Sexy makeup where Nars used to be...and where the VS line used to reside was now filled with these new body mists.
The only thing I've tried from VS is the Beauty Rush lip gloss. It tastes great but makes my lips very dry. I got it in a free gift set.
I wanted to clock the gal that kept following me around though. She kept asking me "ooooh have you tried this? Can I help you find your size? I love this...you should try this! Do you have an Angel's card? Do you want to open an Angel's card? Have you seen our new line of convertible bra yet? Shall I help you with makeup colors? Have you tried our new body mist it's 'the lightest way to wear a fragrance'..." She followed me around for five minutes before I turned around and told her, trying to be nice but you could tell I was ticked, that I was fine, just came into look, and yes I have an Angel's card but there's no way in heck that I'll use it because of the APR. I used to work at VS and understand why they have to be so pushy but man, sometimes I feel like they follow you!
I had initially wanted to take a peek at the VS line, but I didn't want to hang around too long to get bugged again. Bad, I know So I just went to the FF stuff because I had remembered that it was something else I wanted to try and grabbed the two products and ran to the checkout line!
I feel bad...if they do it the same way I had to do it, they don't work on commission but every sale from "their room" (I was always stuck in the front in the expensive lingerie room where I'd be lucky to sell a couple things in an 8 hour period) helps them get a better position on the schedule.
VS is always an "adventure" when I go in! |
