I need recommendations. I'm wanting a completely matte VERY pale pinkish eyeshadow, or white eyeshadow with a hint of pink to it, that is VERY creamy/buttery in consistency but still matte, in other words no chalky/powdery look/feel to it.

I've tried Bobbi Brown Bone matte eyeshadow, it's too powdery looking for me.

I've heard She Uemura, Chanel, Armani make very buttery/creamy feeling powder eyeshadows but I can't go out and look very often as I live in the country.

I thought about Mac "Yogurt" or "Malt" eyeshadows, but I think they aren't pale enough and may be to powdery maybe? I want something a little more pale.

i thought of a mineral powder eyeshadow, but most ones that are supposed to be "matte" in mineral makeup still have some shimmer to them usually.

How is Laura Mercier's eyeshadow in the pale pink color, I think it's called "Petal"?

I have tried both matte shadows in Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier and I find the quality is about the same. I like them both and don't find them too powdery, but they don't feel really creamy to me either. I can't comment on the pale pink LM eye shadow. I have used Lavender Mist, but that's not what you're looking for.

Clinique shadows do feel very creamy to me, but I'm not sure how big their matte (velvet) selection is. Hmmm ... just checked the Clinique website, but they only seem to have a few matte shadows and no pale pink. Sad

Hopefully someone else will have good suggestions for you! Smile

Luvsgracey, how about Paula's Select in Shell. Her stuff is totally matte, soft and blends well.

Trish McEvoy has a shade that is also called shell. It one of my staple shadows. I used to use one called Brighten...but it was discontinued Sad But oddly enough, 'shell' came out about that time and they are nearly identical Rolling Eyes

Thanks everyone, those recommendations so far sound wonderful!

The two eyeshadows I was thinking about by Laura Mercier are called Morning Dew and Princess. Princess may be too pink, but it may be pretty, anyway. I'm lucky because I think I found Morning Dew to swap with someone on MUA, so I'll let you know how I like it if I get it : )

I want to try those other suggestions that were mentioned here, too.

Thanks so much!!

I use one of my blushes from Everyday Minerals as an eyeshadow. It's called Soft Touch, it's very matte, light pink without the shimmer/glittery look. Great for those no-makeup days!

I like BE's Pink Carnation.

Sometimes you can buy samples on E-Bay.

A second to the recommendation for Trish McEvoy's Shell--the perfect subtle pink with good coverage, but it's not chalky. It's a staple of mine.

Perhaps something from Aveda's Petal Essence line? It's been awhile since I've used Aveda shadows, but I used to love a neutral matte shade of theirs. And from what I recall, it met your criteria, i.e., matte but not chalky.

Dior's powder shadows glide on smooth and easily without being chalky.
