Hi. I always appreciate the experience and advice of this forum's contributors, so I thought I'd run this by those who use Decleor.
Based on a number of posts, I purchased the Aromessence Ylang Ylang and Nuit Balm Ylang Ylang (for night time) and have used them both (along with samples of the cleanser and toner for combination/oily skin) for the last 3 days. I'm following the directions and using them very sparingly.
I have so many new breakouts, and my face seems so much oilier than normal during the day, that I'm thinking: either these are absolutely the wrong products for me or there's a "breaking in" period (or should I say, "breaking out"?) that I need to go through while the ylang ylang does its decongestive work.
Please tell me what you think! I'd like to post the wonderful things about Decleor that I've read on the forum, but so far, it's looking pretty grim!
Thanks much!

You are not alone, I did have bad reaction to Decleor Essential Balm initially, they were not "breakouts" but just some tiny red spots on my chin and forehead, I am not sure what were they? They were not itchy at all, well, sometimes, they did! But not the type of sensitivity response that I experienced with other products.
I stopped using it for some days, but I decided to give it a 2nd chance, guess what, I am now totally in love with some of the Decleor pdts, esp. the essential oils!
I dont know if this happens to everyone, but this is my case, I thought the balm was doing sth to clear up my congested skin? Just my guess |

I think you must give it some time, since it takes approx. 4 weeks for real results to show. What kind of cleanser and daytime moisturizer are you using at the moment? |

I had quite a few breakouts when I started to use Decleor Essential Balm, but as it supposed to decongest the skin I carried on with it. After a few weeks I was fine and my skin calmed down...been using the product ever since! |

Thanks so much for your replies.
I'm going to keep using the products and hoping for the best. I'll report back in a couple of weeks when, hopefully, my skin has adjusted to the new routine.
Thanks!
