Oh no! I just discovered the wonders of the incredible aspirin mask and after just 2 applications am already seeing an improvement in my skin. I have decent 45 year old skin, but am very fair & delicate (Irish descent). Because my skin is thin and dry, I had been wary of lots of the peels & acid products, then I tried the aspirin mask (as a sample) and became an instant convert. The peeling I've experienced has been manageable (I should say I have used the mask cautiously--maybe every 5 or 6 days, unlike you folks with thicker, oilier skin) and I've loved my skin's baby bottom texture and the fact that my clusters of enlarged pores seem a bit improved after each application. I felt like I was turning back the clock a little and was very glad of it.
But then I read that people who have capillary issues (as do most of us pale Irish ladies) should steer clear of the aspirin mask or risk ending up with a face full of gin blossoms. True? I have a few small red veins around my nose--nothing terrible & completely concealable with makeup--but I really don't want a red road map on my face. But neither do I want to give up my dream of a peeled, younger-looking face.
What to do? |

hi shegill, welcome!
i think if you do a mask only a couple times per week you shouldn't have a problem. i mix mine up with yogurt,a lactic acid, which doesn't seem to yield broken caps. i'm very prone, and i've never had a problem with the aspirin masks. in fact i only ever had a problem with vitamin c products and ahas.
i think the best advice is not to overdo ANYTHING!

avalange, does vitamin c products cause broken caps?
When I was doing my micor, my BA said I have some broken caps, but I have been using cellex-c serums. |
