That's what I found out from her interview to "Reader's Digest".
Normally, when magazines like Life&Style write about celebrities' beauty secrets, I don't believe it that much since this is one of their advertising strategies. But Reader's Digest... hm ...
Does anyone know what product Nicole Kidman swears by? ![Bad Grin](images/smiles/badgrin.gif) |

Um, did she mention what she uses it for? Chapped lips and dry knees? |

For her face? Really? Wow, my face definitely couldn't handle vaseline! |

Yeah.. she does. I saw her show a few months back where she said her beauty secret is vaseline.. she uses for whole entire body. Anyways, vaseline doesn't work for me and clogs my pores. I only use it on my body SOMETIMES. |

I use it too for chapped feet!
This is the cheapest moisturizer you can buy (for babies) that you can use for yourself!

I don't know where I read it but I understood she used it as eyecream?!? I also read (here or on other forums) that many have tried vaseline on their under eye area and swear by it. ![Question](images/smiles/question.gif) |

before i had breakouts, i used to use vaseline on my face probably twice a month...the following morning, skin does look amazing.
but no way can i do this now! i only use vaseline on dry areas on my body and sometimes on my lips (i do find that i have little whiteheads around my mouth/lips, which i think is partly cos of vaseline...so sutting back on it) |

I also read in a magazine (don't remember which one though) that she uses it as an eye cream and swears by it. Also, I read a very long time ago that the model Alek Wek swears by Vaseline and uses it all over her face and body, too. The only 2 places I'll use Vaseline on is my lips and my feet. |

I've been using Aquaphor under my eyes at night for the past several weeks. I've been struggling with some dermatitis on my upper cheek area and found that most eye creams would aggravate this. So I pulled out the Aquaphor and Voila'...it's working just fine!! The few eyecreams that I found not too aggravate me are so darn costly (I really like Cellcosmet). |

Vaseline is really the best however, it's way too strong if used regularly... |

So did Marilyn Monroe i think. Vaseline reminds me so much of gasoline, i just can't do it. |

It sounds too heavy to me, but come to think about it, my mother has used a heavy eye-salve (which is mostly liquid paraffin) for years and her eye area is flawless so maybe heavy isn't necessarily bad? ![hmm](images/smiles/017.gif) |

I use it all the time for my lips. Once in a while I might even use it around my eyes. But never ever anywhere else on my face. I would feel like my pores can't breathe. |

This is very interesting. I have listened to Dimitri James from Skinn Cosmetics for years - he always teaches to not use creams, etc. in your eye or neck areas as the water in them weighs the skin down as well as "puffing" it up. He has what I think I recall as dry oil mixtures for those areas...I'll have to check it out again. I have given up on eyecreams for the most part as they do make my eyes puffy and I can get whiteheads easily. I've mainly been using serums and emu oil lightly - works well for me. Going to check out Skinn Cosmetics products! (sorry this is sooo long )

I've used Aquaphor as well and love it. I usually use the Dr. Hauschka's eye balm and at night use the Aquafor. |

Aquaphor is a life saver when my skin is really dry or irritated. Just use a tiny amount on damp face. It really leaves face baby soft and help with flakies. |

I remember reading on Vogue or some other fashion mag that said runway models love using vaseline as an intense eye and face treatment, yikes that's definitely not for me...
But it's amazing how people's skins can be so different, some people swear by cold creams and mineral oil (and their skins love it) whereas others like me cannot tolerate any of that stuff. |

love it! mine too...
like many creams that are loaded up with emulsifiers and waxes and petrochemicals, they will sit on your skin and offer slight protection, but won't do much else. and vaseline is more likely to clog pores than not. i really think it comes down to genetics if you use those kinds of creams (or vaseline)--obviously some people will look great for years using it, and others will age visibly. my mom uses vaseline, and she has gorgeous skin, but she also smokes and drinks and tans like crazy, and she still has hardly any wrinkles. I can't see how you could possibly attribute use of vaseline to good skin...
