I was at the dermatologists today and flipping through this months Allure and read something interesting about DMAE in there.
I'm going off memory here so don't quote me on any of this...but the gist of the little blurb made it sound like DMAE probably is not too good for your skin cells in the long run. Yeah, I know this is probably the worst reporting but I remember the page number if any of you want to check it out (Pg. 114) |

I saw the blurb in Allure also. I stopped using DMAE after the initial report came out that it could cause skin cell damage in the long run or something like that, better safe than sorry. Too bad, because I actually like the serum I was using, had a nice effect. |

It says that DMAE only lasts for four hours, swelling the skin with fluid temporarily to make it plump. It's a Canadian study that found DMAE 'interfered with skin-cell division and longevity." That's about all it says. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

A lesson to be aware of products with big claims and little history. |

I agree with you. But I can't help but feel disappointed that it is not another miracle cream. |

I have read other articles that also were weary of DMAE. Now I am really happy I never got started on it...one negative critique gets my attention, but several REALLY gets my attention |
