Hello, I was wondering if there are any Eve Lom users who also use a prescription acne topical. I am having a bit of confusion as to what to use with the prescription I have just started using for my constantly clogged pores. I am using Dermalogica at the moment, but also have some sample sizes of this Eve Lom cleansing cream with the cloth. Would anyone happen to know, if using this as a cleanser at night and then applying my topical sounds like a good idea or not? I want to keep my routine as simple as possible, but also want to get maximum benefits of a good skincare routine. Eve Lom seems to suggest that you don't need a night cream after this cleanser and that she doesn't always prescribe a day cream either. So I thought that if I followed this routine and in the morning wash with water and follow with a sunscreen if this would work. I am a bit concerned about the exfoliating. Do you think that Eve Lom is a gentle way of exfoliating? is it manual? and is manual exfoliation a good or bad thing for clogged pores? or would it be best for me not to add this routine in because of it. Sorry if I'm rambling but I'm just trying to sort out a routine that might hopefully help my clogged pores. Thank you |

i used to use eve lom cleanser years ago...it is an oil-based balm cleanser that you use with the cloth.
there is no physical/manual exfoliation the comes from the cleanser, rather the cloth does a bit during the removal stage. i found that after having a jar of the cleanser for a while, it crystalized ever so slightly, but that would all disappear as soon as i applied it to my skin.
i would say that if you need to, want to use something on your skin (ie treatment, moisturizer) after using eve lom cleanser, go ahead. let your skin tell you what it needs! |

You may want to pm Andaman_Gypsy. I think she's an Eve Lom user. |

I agree, try and use the Eve Lom as described and see how our skin feels. I use it at night only and find love the way it really deeply cleanses my skin so i don't think you'll have a problem with blocked pores but there again maybe you should stick to an oil free cleanser. Best thing is to try it first,i think..... HTH |
