I received CLINIQUE creamy nude lipstick as a GWP but I didn't like it - it make me look too pale.
Didn't realize there are 2 threads on this topic already. I will go there and get some recommendations. Thx. |

There's probably more than that, I just knew of one because I asked the same question a while back. Found the 2nd one too, but it may not have enough about lipsticks in it. |

Thank you, I read the other threads, I was wanting something new, I see all the movie stars and they have the perfect color. |

I've had luck achieving a nude lip by layering colors. If I just use a nude color on my lips, it totally washes me out. Instead I apply a color that has more pigment then layer on the nude. I usually line my lips and then apply a shiny gloss. HTH! |

I use a fairly light tattoo cover pencil (Ben Nye, available in a number of skin tones) over a moisturizing balm. Next, I layer on a Lord & Berry pencil ("Jen") and a lightly pigmented gloss on top of that. Phew! It's more work than just dumping on some lipstick, but you oughta see the pouty, glossy, just-right baby lips I get with it.
(Where's the dang "sultry" emoticon, anyhow?) |

It does take some work to get the perfect color, which is probably why I can never achieve it! But celebs look perfect because they've got a team of hair/makeup people working to make them that way. |
