i can't tell if they added the vitamin E. the brand is Aura Cacia. if they added it, i don't want it unless it's necessary for preservative purposes or something.
and the lady in the store was telling me there was "one oil for outside, one for inside". i don't believe this, as people have posted here forever that they use the edible stuff on their face.
would i be better off just getting the edible stuff?
thanks. |

No problem withe the vit E. It's often added to oils like avo and emu as an antioxidant. In theory it helps shelf life though I remember reading somewhere that it doesn't really make much difference. Either way it will do your skin nor your insides any harm at all. More likel;y benefit them! |

but make sure it is natural vitamin E (tocopheryl), not tocopheryl "acetate" which I believe is synthetic. Why bother with a natural avocado oil when there is a synthetic in there, right? But I am no expert. So don't quote me on this. |

actually, my lips once inflated from vitamin E oil, but they were hypersensitive from a chemical burn at the time. and i want the avocado oil for my lips, so i'm being cautious. i bet i am over the vitamin E sensitivity, who knows.
anyway, i'm living proof that one (or perhaps just i) can react to anything. i also got ill years ago after taking vitamin E internally, but i took a few supplements that day and am not sure which one or what combo did it. i'm sure naturally-occurring vitamin E is fine for me.
so i like to keep my skin and supplement stuff simple and separated so i know how i react to everything. i know that's not always possible, nor does it mean i will react to synergistic combinations of ingredients which happen to include one i thought i was sensitive to.
i'm just gonna keep it simple and go get the edible kind!
