Should one reapply or even apply S/S 1-2 hours before sunset or when UV rating is 1/16 or 2/16 (superbly overcast day or very near sunset)? I'm just curious as I figure a tiny amount of UV is good for skin, but not enough to cause sun damage or skin cancer. I usually go outside (an hour or so before sunset) and wondering if I need to apply s/s or reapply s/s. Please share your experience. Thanks. |

When I go for a walk after dinner, I just throw a hat on instead of reapply the SS. |

what if you play sports, and baseball cap doesn't cover your entire face? how about your body? |

I think it depends on how long you'll be out in the sun and how strong the sun seems to you at that time. I'd probably put some on just to be on the safe side. If you're under 25, maybe it's ok not to reapply. Also, I often just slap on a wide-brimmed hat and big sunglasses if I don't have time or forget to apply SS before going out. I also try to stay in the shade. |

I agree with iaimei - with only a couple hours of daylight left, I'll wear a hat; since I just bought a new floppy straw hat I absolutely love, I look for excuses to wear it |

That's a good idea. I think I will do that instead of reapplying my sunscreen. |
