Has anyone had any success using anything to get rid of these ridiculous looking lines that begin at the corners of the mouth? I have yet to find anything but fillers to build volume in this area. Any thoughts? Thanks |

Since I know that I'm never going to get fillers, cheek implants or a face lift than I'm very dedicated to finding an alternative.
My own lines are still pretty mild but I hate them more than anything. It's the first thing my eyes see when I look at myself.
I do feel I've minimized them slightly with microneedling, an LED device and face exercises but it has only been a relatively short while and I know some patience is required...
One side of mine is exaggerated by a shallow scar and I think a TCA peel I'll do in the Fall will at least help with that part.
If I decide to trust that any more of the at home gadgets can help in that area I would be willing to invest. |

I've done fillers for my nl lines-its an immediate, painful and pricey remedy. I've been using the Tria ADL for about a year now and my nl lines no longer bother me (I also consistently use SS, a C serum and a tretinoin). |

For me, the best method to avoid these lines is facial exercise. My chin is quite strong from using resistance training. Search for a facial muscle diagram, locate the muscles and do exercises to strengthen this area. Its best to strengthen all of your facial muscles but for starters, find exercises for this area. If your muscles are significantly atrophied it could take longer to see results.
Try holding a slight smile on your face! It takes about 3 weeks to make a habit, so practice until a slight smile is your all the time facial expression. A slight smile looks much nicer than a frown which exacerbates those lines.
Scientists have found that smiling changes your brain chemistry… in a positive way.
