A good product that can surely help blackheads and large pores is Epidermx, a manual home microdermabrasion cream. I had my blackheads removed after a few treatments. My pores also look much smaller after about 2 months. You might want to look into it.
The Nivea Q10 eye cream and the Neutrogena anti-wrinkle anti-blemish cream are pretty good. But if you use the Epidermx, it will also reduce your fine lines. It has smoothed out my fine lines already. |

I could say the same thing and the worst part of it i work in cosmetics I haven't found anything to remove those blackheads on my nose. I found that sticking your face over boiling water and then expracting it with a acne tool has gone the trick..or your CLEAN fingers. It does hurt a bit tho, but it clears them up, and nice mask after that would be a plus. But I still myself haven't found anything that will get rid of them for good.. |

A great at-home remedy that really works for blackheads is to take 1/4 C hot water, dissolve 1 teaspoon of epsom salts in it, and add 3 drops of iodine. Take a cotton cosmetic pad or some small strips of cloth and soak them in solution until they have absorbed it. Then apply the cotton or strips to your nose/forehead, wherever. Let it sit for 10 minutes, and then wash it off w/a soft washcloth. The blackheads will pop up out of the pores & just wipe away like magic.
If you do this once a week, it will keep your blackheads away. Foloow with a mild astringent toner to tighten your pores & you'll be set! |

PS - Neutrogena makes a product called "Clear Pore Treatment". It's a gel that you put on and leave on overnight. A friend told me about it and it shrunk my pores and seems to keep breakouts at bay for me. I only use it now on my nose, but it was the best $5 I have spent in a long time. |

Well, I'm not sure if this will have the same effect on you but the Dr Hauschka cleansing cream being religiously used twice daily for about a month has done wonders for my skin in terms of blackheads. I used to use Dermalogica Microfoliant and Decleor Essential Balm to control them. Both products were effective but I heard that you're not supposed to use the Essenetial Balm all the time. Now I'm using the Dr H cleansing cream twice daily and the Microfoliant and Essential Balm every so often (like last night ). Loving it!

Why the Essential Balm is not supposed to be used all the time?? Thanks! |

Bbiz,
This was raised by Alohagirl a while ago (http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=1342) and I have heard one beautician say this as well (mind you I made the mistake of telling her that I heard this and asking if she agreed, rather than asking how it should be used...). I'm not sure how accurate the information is, but seeing as I am a bit of a product junkie it doesn't bother me much If I had to guess what the reason was I would say that perhaps it is not moisturising enough on a regular basis? Hmmm, I'm just speculating really.
Perhaps Magda or Caspers Mum can shed some light on this?

everyone who was saying that Epidermix help were right. in 2 weeks my skin tone is better and i can go outside without foundation. One question..does anyone know how to use it under eyes...i am afraid that rubbing the skin under eyes will make it worse. |

Use your ring finger and rub it very very gently back and forth. You may not get any dead skin roll off in that area. Make sure the cream does not get into your eyes. I have never used it in my eye area yet. |
