Has anyone tried the chick pea flour mask for acne? If so, did it make them break out at all or help? What about a sebum facial to decrease oiliness?

Sorry, I can't help you. I have never heard of it. The only reason I even know about chick pea flour at all is because I love hummus....what is it supposed to do?

Hello, yes i had tried this for a while to help with my acne, and although it didnt do much for my existing pimples, it helped prevent new ones from forming and helped with my oily face. It also tightened my pores a bit, which was visible after its first use. It dried my skin out, but the reason why i stopped using it was because it was so awful to have on.

Thanks for the responses - I guess I'll give it a whirl - just mix with water I think! Supposed to be good for acne and I have a small break out and want to clear things up before vacation.

I also got some AKN skin care capsules from the health food store - made up of several herbs and supposed to cleanse the system (liver) to help acne. I'm kinda afraid to take them before vacation - could this actually cause a breakout in the initial stages? Think I'll wait till I return and see if it does anything.

I have used this mask all my life!

A suggestion:

mix one teaspoon chick pea flour (aka "channa dal flour"), one teaspoon "green gram dal flour" along with half teaspoon "neem powder" (neem is an ayurvedic herb; it is powder from a leaf that has antibacterial properties), few drops lime juice & few drops rose water. Keep this 'face pack' for 30 minutes & rinse with cold water.

U will have glowing, soft skin - a guarantee! used over time, acne will minimize and pores will close.
