Been searching for organic clothes and ran into some apparel made out of bamboo fiber. I'm very intrigued by this breakthrough in textiles, since bamboo grows so fast it's a great renewable resource and also produces a lot of oxygen. It's supposed to be as soft as silk/cashmere and more wicking than cotton, has anyone worn any apparel made out of bamboo fibers? |

I saw some bed sheets made out of bamboo fiber last week. They felt very soft - was curious about it myself... How does it deal with humidity/sweating? |

cat, I ordered a pair of lounge pants made out of bamboo. I'll let you know. Bamboo fiber is supposed to wick moisture away, similar to silk which would make it perfect for both summer and winter wear. For winter underlayers, cotton is referred to as "death cloth" since it retains moisture rather than wick it away.... |

Sundew, there's a seller on eBay named Tully's Naturals that I ordered the bamboo fiber lounge slacks from. They also sell bamboo towels and sheets.
I also found a few other on-line stores that specialize in this, but haven't ordered from them yet so I can't speak for their quality or CS. Selections from jonano one are on my wish list. They have clothing in something called eco-cashmere made out of bamboo.

The bamboo sheets I saw were at either Linens & Things or Bed, Bath & Beyond. |

Ooh, just received my order from ebay seller... The 70% bamboo 30% organic cotton Tshirt is sooo soft, I'll have to order some XL mens for sleeping in!
Surprisingly enough, all the clothes I got were made in the USA and the prices were extremely reasonable! It's good to know that my desire for clothing doesn't further increase the demand for dehumanizing working conditions or enrich the trade of countries who engage in appalling practices.
Respectually yours,

I have a really nice bamboo fiber skirt, that I sort of stumbled upon by accident. It has two layers, both very thin, and it hangs like a Tencel-y synthetic fabric - very thin and drapey stretchy jersey, and I think it would show every curve and bump if it weren't for the two layers. But as it is it's quite flattering, and very comfortable. Since it's a skirt I can't really lay claim as to how well it breathes, as it's flowy and airy so I don't really have any way to tell - but it feels and looks absolutely divine. Definitely recommended! |

My husband received some bamboo socks as a gift. They're very soft but he hasn't worn them yet so I can't speak for its other qualities. I'll update as soon as he wears them! |

Bamboo is supposed to be anti-microbial, just may reduce foot odor and sweating do let us know!
I definitely plan to buy more bamboo, hopefully within a year I'll have replaced my entire wardrobe [well, almost] with sustainable, eco-friendly fabrics. |
