Have some of u girls noticed that there's a line right underneath your eye? It's not really a wrinkle but just a line. It's not too obvious if u moisturize it well or without makeup. But once u apply things like concealer or foundation, the line will be quite obvious. I have dark eye circles and I have to apply foundation or concealer almost on a daily basis. I'm using Everyday Mineral foundation underneath my eyes. It seems to accentuate that one fine line there. Anybody experienced that? Which mineral foundation or concealer have u girls try under the eyes that's not drying and provide good coverage? I find it hard to apply MMU underneath the eyes. Any techniques would be appreciate. Thanks so~ much |

Did you ever try Diors (skinflash backstage makeup) its a concealor and it great the brush stays moist all the time and its really easy to blend in. I use it under and in the corner of my eyes for ages. I went in a asked for a make up at the counter before I tried it as I had bought so many that just caked. |

I have been having the same problem!
Over the last year I have developed these blue circles under my eyes that as my SO tells me 'look like I have done a few rounds with a boxer'. I have trieed various concealers and the best so far is MAC Studio Finish, I also find if I apply it with my fingers I get a much more natural look and I do not need to apply that much so it stops from settling into the crease too much.
I purchase some Touch Eclait but the 'ligh reflecting' part seemed to draw more attention to the area, any ideas how I can make this work? |

I recently bought Laura Mercier's undereye concealer after reading some raves about it - I really wasn't expecting much - however - I absolutely love it!!! It has a moisurizer in it and really great coverage too. My eyes have truly never looked better. I was really surprised at what a difference it made. I almost didn't buy it (I was buying other products) but I am so glad I did and will continue to purchase in the future! |

I tried Guerlain Line smoothing Illuminator since I heard such raves about it. It doesn't really settle into fine lines but it doesn't have much coverage for my eye circles If I layered on too much, it gets cakey.
I might give Laura Mercier a try then but afraid that it won't work on me too |

Stardustdy, I understand not wanting to try a product for fear it won't work - I feel the same way about things. I bought my Laura Mercier at Nordstroms for that reason (plus it was convenient for me) - that way if the product didn't deliver, I could get my money back since Nordstrom is good about that. I think that was why I bought it on kind of a whim, but I've been so unexpectedly happy with it. Good luck deciding! |

I don't think anything can be done to get rid of that one line right beneath the eye. It's more like how your eyes shape in a way that allow the line to be there. It's not really wrinkle...just an annoying line |

I've been puzzling about how to solve this as well. I haven't found the perfect solution yet, but I have found 2 things that helped me to significantly reduce how much my concealer accentuates lines (not totally, but maybe a 60% improvement?).
1.Try using an anti-puff eyecream even if you don't think you need one. I never thought puffiness was a problem for me. Dark circles, wrinkles, dryness:yes. Puffiness: no way! After messing around with some eyecream samples, however, I found that even though I don't have an obvious puffiness/bagginess problem, using a depuffing product really, really helps my concealer go on more smoothly and not settle into lines, etc. I haven't found an HG eyecream yet, so I can't recommend one particular miracle product, but I have found that of all the grand claims eyecreams make, puffiness reduction tends most often to be true: if it has caffeine in it, it will probably work ok (that's just my experience, of course; as mentioned, I don't have a really huge problem in this area).
2.My natural tendency was to apply concealer following the curve of the eye and under eye area, but it helps a lot to apply at more or less a 45 degree angle, from your lower lashes to your ear, more or less. Check out the "how to" video on the Bobbi Brown site where does this. I can't link to external sites, but go to bobbibrowncosmetics, follow the link to concealers, and you'll see a link to the "how to apply concealer" video.
BTW: if you watch the video, at the end BB herself is on camera and her own under eye concealer job looks a bit rough, I think: total whiteout, anyone?
I'm experimenting with primers now. Someday I'll totally solve this under eye concealer dilemma! |
