Hi,
I am new to this forum...or at least I have registered only today. I've been reading the reviews for quite a while as I was looking for a skin care line that would fit my skin type(mixt, sensitive skin) and age(31).
My first choice was Eminence and thus I have ordered a few samples from another site. I used those for about 3 weeks. Then I read about Ilike as being the original company that made those products, so I thought I would compare them.
The first thing that some might find as an advantage for ILike is that they send samples for free, while I had to buy the Eminence samples. However that doesn't count a lot for me, since I am basically looking for a skin care line to use in the long term and from Eminence I also got to choose the samples that I wanted.
I will list the products that I have tried and really liked from Eminence:
Sweet Red Rose Cleanser:
Great experience with this one, my face felt really good and moisturized after using it.It seems to clean my skin pretty well and the smell is divine.It also helped calming my skin and eliminating potential breakouts.I'd buy it for daily use.
Stone Crop Gel Wash:
I liked this one too, I think it cleanses my skin a bit more than the Sweet Red Rose cleanser, the surface of my skin feels extremely even to touch(even on my neck), however I think it is a bit more drying than the Red Rose one.I would say I'd buy it for a weekly use, when you feel that you want your skin deeply cleansed.
Rosehip Whip Moisturizer:
Light texture, really moisturizing, calmed down my skin and it kept it looking fresh and even for the whole day. I used it as a day moisturizer as well as a night one.It never left that sticky feeling that I dislike on most moisturizers.Plus the smell is awesome.I'd buy it for daily use.
Herbal Eye Contour Cream:
Good cream I would say, but don't expect wonders. It will moisturize your skin.I don't have real problems with the skin around my eyes so it's hard to tell if it works miracles. I would say that it won't do wonders for dark circles, but if your skin is dry around that area or you have fine lines, it is a really good cream to try.
Cinnamon Paprika Body Lotion :
This is a product that I really loved and I will probably order in full size. My skin on my hips and around my waist felt extremely smooth for 24 hours after using it. It's hard to say if it has a visible effect for stretch marks or cellulite in the long run, however from all lotions that I have tried till now, this is the only one that had effects lasting for more than 2-3 hours. No discomfort either (burning or anything else).
Now last night I have tried the Rosehip Whip Moisturizer from ILike and my two cents on it are:
- the texture is heavier than the one from Eminence
- when I woke up my skin felt kind of sticky
- it seemed to have moisturized my skin and kept it behaving itself after a full day of wandering through NYC
I'll post more once I try the other samples from ILike. |

No, it's the opposite : Eminence's stuff is like Ilike's (Eminence was Ilikes representant for the US in the past...) |

hi pinkthinker
i really like the cinnamon paprika cream as well...although i only use it typically when it's cold out as it really warms up! like putting on warm clothes on a cold whinter day! really invigorating. |
