Does anyone purposely use mineral eyeshadows and/or blushes not because they are so in love with the specific color or product but instead to boost SPF on their face?
I've started experimenting with Alima's eyeshadows and blushes and just got a sample of Cory's in the mail as well. I already have make-up from regular department-store lines (MAC, Estee Lauder, etc.) that I really love and been using for years, but I thought I would try mineral-based ones since they seem to be made mostly from Titanium Dioxide. I figure the more TD I can sneak on my face, the more sun protection I have (especially on my eyelids). The colors are OK, not bad, no great shakes, but I really want the SPF.
Does anyone else use these products primarily for SPF (as opposed to being in love with the actual color itself), or is it just me? |

h ...I never thought of that but that's an idea. I usually put sunscreen or MMU on my eyelids too so I guess it's fine. |

I use mineral makeup products because they are less irritating to my skin. I used to the think that all eye-shadows made my eyes itch. When I tried MMU e/s, no itching. |

I've never even heard of MMU until I joined these forums. Everyone who uses it here seems to love it though, and the sun protection is just an added benefit. I'm tempted to give it a try... |
