i was in anthropologie today (as usual; it's possibly my favourite store in america- really reminds me of the sweet faux french boutiques in japan) and noticed that they have a bunch of dr hauschka stuff on sale! they were selling kits at a heavy discount. i didnt pick any up as using the cleansing milk & cream gave me a massive break out, but i know a lot of people here swear by it so thought id give a heads up. i bought 2 pots of the dr. hauschka lipbalm tho- at $4 a pot i couldn't resist, even if i do still have several pots of my standard grapefruit muji lipbalm haha...
i dont remember exactly what was there, but i do remember they had an "everyday matters kit" with the cleansing cream, toner, and lavender bath marked down from $89 to $49, and another kit in german with the cleansing cream, toner, and rose cream for $29.95 i think...?? anyway if you live near an anthropologie its worth checking out. the one i went to was the one in downtown san francisco right across from the bloomingdales shopping center. |

Sounds good but please enquire about the Sell by dates of the products on sale before doing any purchasing. |

Thanks for the tip!
I wanted to buy their shampoos and conditioners but I didn't know if they were good for people with dry scalp and dandruff. Head and Shoulders is NOT working because it's the dry scalp and itchiness that's causing the problem. Can anyone chime in with a recommendation? |

Natural Shampoo's and Conditioner's would be a good choice for you as it is normally Sodium Laureth Sulphate that causes the itchiness/dry scalp/sensitive scalp. |

I bought organic shampoos and conditioners without SLS before, but it wasn't moisturizing enough. Actually, it's my bf with the dry scalp problem. And after using the one I bought, I think I bought Aubrey's organics, he said it was still drying and it didn't help at all.
The reason I was looking at this brand is because it seems to have oils in it which I thought would help with the dryness. But the one I looked at had alcohol as the 2nd or 3rd ingredient! |

You might want to consider the following for your bf's scalp:
John Masters Organics Zinc & Sage Shampoo With Conditioner

Another good trick is putting apple cider vinegar directly on the scalp. It helps kill the yeast that's responsible for the overly itchy and dry scalp, and it also helps soothe the itch. Pour it on, rub it in for a few minutes, and rinse out.
And back to Dr. Hauschka - the tip to check the sell-by date is a very good one, but I'm still intrigued, as these are very expensive products at a steep mark-down. I might have to go pick some up at my local Anthropologie (after reading labels, of course). Thanks! |

Thanks for the recommendation! But I'll have to run this by him becuz the last time I bought Burt's Bee's Baby Bee ointment for him, he said it wasn't hydrating enough and actually made him itch which he though was because of zinc oxide! Although, I'm not really sure what the cause was... |
