Ebay is selling Skinceuticals C Serum (15) for 19.95, could this be right? Sounds awfully inexpensive. Do you think something is wrong with it?

Hi,
If it sounds too good to be true it most likely is. Maybe it is product that has passed it's expiry date. I personally would be wary of buying it at that price it just doesn't sound right .

I wouldn't buy vitamin c serum on ebay. Since vit c serum has such a short shelf life and destablizes easily, I would buy it from a reputable store. |

Ditto, no vitamin C stuff for me from eBay. In fact a few ladies (myself included) went in on a CP of Christian Dior DiorShow mascara. The auction was for a pack of 10 (US$99). It all arrived and we now suspect that these may actually be fakes! It's hard to say but the formulation and smell just don't seem the same, perhaps it is an older forumlation of the product. I guess we'll never know |

I just read the small print at Ebay, it says: "Please note that all Vitamin C solutions oxidize over time, and it is normal for the product to darken somewhat. The Topical Vitamin C Serum offered here has darkened past amber (about the colour of strong tea) but still remains potent."
So I guess it may be old serum. Thanks for the replies!

Well, for one thing...they always start auctions low so that more people will bid on them. Also, as you found out, you HAVE to read the fine print. She is selling very old C serum and telling people that it is just fine and it is probable well over a year old at the minimum. I think, as others said, Vit C is one thing that I would stick to buying from a well know vendor.
