Currently I am using a mud based mask for exfoliating and tightening pores. I have just started worrying about those pesky lines from nose to mouth, will a mask help with those or would a peel be better, I am thinking of purchasing the PSF pumpkin peel, I appreciate any help with this.

Cawl [welcome, BTW!] it's hard to say without knowing how old you are and what your skin type but this may not be an either/or.
I tend to PSF acne mud mask for tightening/oil control once a week and the PSF pumpkin mask twice weekly for light chemical exfoliation. On the nights I DON'T use the pumpkin peel, I use EpidermxII every night to provide physical exfoliation. In addition, I incorporate low dosage BHA/AHA treatments almost every night.
I can't make any recommendations about deep lines between nose and mouth since I don't have any [knocks on wood]

I have oily acne-prone skin and had only used mud-based masks, but they didn't help with pores.
I've been using the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel (the sensitive, for the first 3 weeks, and now the full-strength version) and find that it is doing a much better job with exfolation. Mud masks dried me out if anything, but to the point that my oily skin seemed to over-produce oil to compensate. I've also been using Silken Pearl products the last while, and those have helped so much with the oiliness that I rarely use mud masks anymore, except when I use it as a spot treatment on large zits.
Also, while I'm liking the JB peel, I'm wishing this jar wasn't so large! That way I could finish it faster and try the PSF or NCN pumpkin peels since they've been getting rave reviews. There are a few girls on here who have tried all 3, so I'm waiting for them to update us about their progress and preferences. |

I would also recommend the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel, but also a vitamin C. I'm using Cellex-C but I've read that the PSF is also good. |

Thanks for the welcome Athena123! I tend to find most of the answers to my questions just reading the posts. I am 35 and I would say my skin is on the dry side, slightly sensitive, although I do have a t-zone with pores that tend to look worse as the day goes by! I am just starting to notice fine lines around the corners of my mouth. Typically I would stay away from any sort of chemical exfoliation products since I tend to get broken caps quite easily on my cheeks, but I suppose I could just stay away from that area?? |

Yeah, there's tons of great information on this forum I've heard great things about the pumpkin mask from NCN skincare, but at 30% it may not be for beginners. I've got pretty tough skin and don't have to worry about broken caps, hopefully others will chime in... |

Well I will definitely continue using a mask for tightening pores but am going to purchase PSF's pumpkin peel for use on some of those pesky lines, I think it will be more effective, I will post my results. |
