Does obagi lighten your complexion or discoloration? What if you stop for a period of time, will the freckles that were previously erased ever come back? I have some freckles from sunbathing during childhood. I am 34 now. Whill obagi take care of those? I want to make sure before I splurge on obagi.Thank you. |

Obagi will get rid of any discoloration but as soon as you stop using the system hyperpgmentation may return. |

that's what i thought. So really there's no permanent fix for any skin problems then. One thing may work well for a while but then once you are off it, the problems are coming back. It's so frustrating. |

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't seem like there's a permanent fix out there. The thing with hyperpigmentation is that it'll always form if we're not careful enough.
One thing that'll definitely help is to reduce the amount of sun exposure you get. That will lessen the chances of having hyperpigmentation coming back. And you may also want to consider a maintanence program so that the "problem" gets fixed before it becomes noticeable.
I started using Obagi since last summer and have been able to keep my freckles and acne scars away for awhile now. I'm still using Obagi Clear and Trentinoin every other day though because I still occasionally get breakouts and still can't keep my fingers off them... Clear and Trentinoin helps my scars go away quickly and I also find Trentinoin very effective for reducing fine wrinkles...
Just my 2 cents |

Sweetreat, Where did you buy your Trentinoin?
Is it good enough if I just use the Clear and
Trentinoin (instead of the whole 'system') to start (not for maintenance)? TIA |
