I'm wondering if anyone's bought one and used it successfully in the UK? I'd like to try it but am worried about the voltage conversion and don't want to waste my cash! If this doesn't work in the UK does anyone know of any similar products that do?

hi rachael
i'm not in the uk, i'm in malaysia but we have the exact same voltage system as the uk. my clarisonic arrived yesterday and i used something called a world travel adapter to charge it. my adapter says it can be used with class II electrical devices up to 5A (120v max 600W/240v max 1200W). well it seems to be charging up ok and i used it for the first time just now after the 24-hr first charge. it's early days yet but first impressions - love it!
one thing though, the charging cradle did get pretty warm while charging - can anybody using clarisonic in the us confirm that this is normal? thanks in advance!!  |

I have two Clarisonics (one I swapped for to give to my mom) and I just checked the charging cradle of both (which are, in fact, currently charging the brushes) and neither of them feel the slightest bit warm so.... 
I think if I were on your position (i.e.: having to use a voltage convertor), I'd probably unplug my charging cradle except when I actually need it to re-charge my brush to make sure the cradle doesn't accidentally overheat or -- worse yet -- start an electrical fire. I'm not an electrician so I don't know if that would actually prevent an accident, but I'm sure it couldn't hurt and it's better to be safe than sorry.... |

hi carekate! thanks for the info! 
I did unplug it right after the first 24-hr charge, it was quite warm which got me a bit worried, i haven't needed to charge it for the second time yet, but will keep a close eye on it when it's charging. if it is still warm i will probably get a voltage converter instead.
ah the lengths we go to for beauty! i went away last weekend after using the clarisonic only twice, but just had to bring it along (2 days without clarisonic? NOOO!!) but i was too scared to put it in the luggage we checked in, in case it got damaged, so hubby had to put it in his bagpack with the cameras and whatnots!  |
