Looks like PSF has a new cleanser available at their web site. It's called gentle castile and sounds like it is pH balanced and free from detergents.

Oakview, thank you for posting this! I have been waiting and waiting for them to reveal the new cleanser, and of course it comes out while I am out of town. Confused

I am SO PLEASED to read that it's effective for acne AND rosacea! The ingredient list looks great! Can't wait to receive mine!

From the PSF website:
"... It easily washes away even the most difficult to remove makeup & sunscreen, yet does not strip the skin of it's natural lipid barrier due to its skin-friendly, neutral pH..."

Sounds great! Nadjazz, if you do get this, please let us know if you like it!

I have been using my sample of this for a few days and I have to say that I am really liking this cleanser so far. It really does seem to remove all of my makeup (mineral and water-resistant mascara) and sunscreen (Sofina). The smell is....well, it isn't one of those "heavenly, can't inhale enough" scents but it is certainly fine. First whiff is almost lemony (which is nice!) but then it is very "functional" smelling, if that makes any sense! It isn't on my face long enough to really matter. It mixes with a bit of water into a nice foam quickly and rinsed cleanly very easily. At first, I thought that I was feeling a sense of dryness in my skin afterwards but then realized that it is the lack of any residue/coating that I am newly experiencing!
So, if it is detergent-free,a skin-healthy pH, removes everything that I need it to and leaves my skin barrier intact and feeling good, I guess I have found the best cleanser for me. (BTW, I have dryish, 43 year old skin that is prone to hormonal breakouts)

I am really liking it as well. It does seem to be much more concentrated than the rosehip seed cleanser and the first time I used it I had way too much on my face. Start with a small amount and add more if needed. A little goes a long way.

Good point, Oakview! At first, when I saw that the full-sized bottle sells for $20, I thought that seemed a bit steep for a cleanser but now that I see how little one actually has to use, I think that the full-sized one will last forever! (I have hardly made a dent in my sample and I too used way too much the first time I tried it)

Oh! I forgot to mention that I tried it with my Clarisonic this morning and really like them together. The cleanser gives a nice "slip" for the brush.

I think PSF is still running a discount on their site like they do for most new product introductions.

I've ordered the Castile cleanser and am waiting for it to arrive.
It's still being offered at a discount on the PSF site. My email from them said it would be at the discount price until Friday July22nd - their typo.

PSF's Castile Cleanser sounds lovely. I am just about ready to purchase a facial cleanser. Might just give this one a try. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I was delighted to get a sample of this with my PSF sunscreen (and O2 - that stuff is going to bankrupt me) as I'm still trying to find the perfect morning wash which also is inexpensive to help counteract the dent O2 makes on my skincare budget.

I have finished the sample and it lathers up nicely and rinses off easily. However, due to the 'squeaky clean' feeling I get, I am concerned about the 'soap'.

Is this literally just castile soap? Same as I use with laundry, household stuff...?!

I thought one shouldn't use soap on their face?

EDS was so kind to include a sample of the PSF Gentle Cleanser Castile with my last order. I finally tried it a few days ago, and I have found myself reaching for it when I have to wash my face next time. So it's become my choice of cleanser for the past few days! The reason for this is it does feel gentle, doesn't dry out my skin, and it leaves my face feeling squeaky clean. I have to use very little of it, so the sample will probably last me at least 2 weeks or longer, using it twice a day. I can't imagine using the full size because it will last forever! I have so many gentle cleansers now that I now use the one from skinbio as my shower gel. It makes me smell so good after a shower.
