The Organic Pharmacy is a UK made brand which prides itself on creating skin care free from artificial preservatives, colourants, fragrances and petrochemicals. The Cellular Protection Sun Cream is the first product I have used from this brand and I am impressed with the quality. I have been using this cream as a daily sun protection for the last month and a half and it has become a firm favorite of mine.

I am sensitive to chemical sun screens and it has taken me a long time to find a physical sun screen which does not cause breakouts or leave a white cast. This sun cream is based on invisible zinc and pearl extracts to reflect rays and Pongomia extract for natural SPF boosting. It also helps to protect cells with green, white and red tea.

The texture is thick when you apply it, but it sinks in nicely, just leaving a little bit of a sheen which looks quite nice. In fact, some people have commented on my skin looking radiant when I have been wearing this. It smells absolutely gorgeous, but I find it hard to describe the smell, it reminds me of how some of the Jurlique products smell if that is of any help...

It comes in a 100 ml tube and needs to be used within 9 months of opening the product.

I have not tried this product in strong sun, but it has perfomed very well as a city block.

If I didn't remember wrong, this sunscreen is kind of tan sunscreen, make sure you don't mind that your skin is tanned.

that sounds lovely...

smoothskin, you mentioned that it is quite thick to apply but soaks in...would you say that it is quite moisturizing on it's own, or is it quite 'neutral'?

Sorry, Meggiequn, I am not quite sure I understand what you mean by "tan sunscreen", I obviously have not spent enough time on this forum lately...

Yes, Lamicuz, I would say that this is moisturizing enough on its own. I like to use my beautiful Kucci Kukui Mandarin and Multivitamin Oil under it, but I like a lot of moisture and often don't wear foundation so it does not matter for me if it takes longer to absorb.

It is a really lovely sun cream.

Smoothskin, this looks incredible, but I noticed that alcohol is the second ingredient in the contents list. I worry that this might make it a bit drying - have you noticed any such effect since you started using it?

No, I have not found it drying at all, it makes my skin look nicely hydrated and glowing.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm going to have to pick this up when I visit England in September! Do you know where one can buy it in-person, as opposed to online?

I know what you mean... But maybe this is a different product or formula, because it has zinc in it, and I don't think it did in the past..?

I'm sorry maybe I'm wrong, but I went to their store in NYC last month, the lady told me it's kind of tanning sunscreen. so i didn't make my purchase.

I have friends using the line with great results. I so want to try it but they don't sent out samples and the price is quite high once convert from UK Pounds to Cdn dollar, plus the shipping.

I also find it extremely expensive, and that is why I still have not tried anything else from the line.

I'm hoping to test it better in-person while I'm in England. I hate when brands don't offer samples!
