I splurged and bought Jan Marini Bioclear Lotion and Transformation Cream. I had read quite a few threads on the products but I can't seem to find how much to apply. I have been using the Bioclear every other day and then the Transformation in between. I have been applying say 1 pump or 1 1/2 pumps of the Bioclear to apply a thin layer all over the face and then for the Transformation enough to apply a thin layer. I know some others mentioned having a stinging effect from the Bioclear and I don't have that.....I've only used it about 3 times. I just wondered if I was using enough..NOT real interested in having my face sting..but just wanting to make sure I am using properly. No ill effects have occured and maybe it's wishful thinking, but I may see a hint of a difference. |

Hi kittyd! Bioclear lotion doesn't sting my face at all for me, too.. However, when I do have a broken skin here and there, it would sting upon application. |

I have also just started(1 week)using the bioglycolic cleanser and bioclear serum. If I apply the bioclear right after cleansing it stings, but if I wait a few minutes,it does not.

Hi kittyd,
The stinging can be variable, so don't worry about it. I have been using the Bioclear for about 3 months now and really like it. I also apply 1 - 1.5 pumps. Rub my fingers together and spread. Then apply the Transformation cream - about 1 pea-size on top. I'd also recommend the Bioglycolic cleanser beforehand. I think that the trio together packs quite a punch.
Good luck

Sounds to me like you're using enough and I also never had any stinging. Give it a few weeks and see if you like how your skin looks.
Just because it doesn't sting, doesn't mean it's not working. |

I've been using bioclear for nearly a month now...so far so good. Skin looks a bit clearer (waiting for my monthly to see whether I break out) and pores are so clean and skin is rather smooth.
It doesnt sting unless applied to broken skin.
I would suggest you use it once every other day if you're a first time user, because when I first started mine, I used in AM and PM everyday and my skin got quite dry. |

Regarding frequency of use: I used mine at night every other night the first week-10 days, then every night for another couple of weeks, then moved to am every other day+ pm and finally am and pm! This worked well for me. |

Right now I'm on my second bottle of the JM Bioclear lotion and at first it stung like hell. Now that I'm on my second bottle it still stings, but not as much as when I first started out. You know, I think I've been using too much at a time. About 4 pumps all over my face. Last night however I only used one and a bit and it didn't sting at all.
I also own the Transformation cream but I haven't been using it. Might start using it in conjunction with the Bioclear because it has slightly dried out my skin a bit.

4 pumps definitely sounds like too much. Do try the transformation cream (apply a pea-size). I hope it helps. It did for me. |

Bioclear stings a little bit for me, but not as much as it used to.
I am only supposed to use a pea size of the transofmration cream?? I end up using a pea size on each cheek and then a dab on my forehead and neck. No wonder I am going through my jar so quickly. |

No, I use a pea-size for the whole face. Uh-oh...I have a small face... Sometimes I go back for another dab but not often. One pea-size, rub fingers together and spread on cheeks, forehead and neck. |

Hi Kittyd,
I was another Bioclear Lotion virgin until the EDS posters got me on to this product. It did sting for me the first week but it doesn't anymore unless I've had an exfoliation treatment. I avoid it on the open skin. I absolutely love the results- smoother skin, fainter blackheads and less breakouts. It's been about 3 months and I'm still on the first bottle so I'm happy with that. I added the Jan Marini Factor A serum to the regimen (and has been a month or alittle over) but so far I can't tell any additional benefits to this. I'm thinking the Factor A lotion may not be strong enough.
