I am in the market to get me a really good mask that I can use one to two times a week...I like the mud kind..but will consider others..I am in my mid 30's and have normal/combo skin where the T-zone tends to get oily..I have some pores which I would love to erase but can't obviously! I also have some fine lines around the eyes and those darn neck lines! And occasionaly get a pimple here or there..adult acne. So any suggestions? Much appreciated! |

Do you need a deep clean mask? If so, I recommend Kiehl's rare-earth cleansing mask, it's effective, but mild. Also I like Erno Laszlo sea mud mask. |

I tried Borghese's which was good for cleansing. But since my skin is normal to dry, it was too dry for me. |

Hi lonestar, I really like PSF acne mud mask - the main component is French Green Clay and sulfur. I use it 1-2 times a week and really love the results! It helps to control oil without overdrying and even better, it's available here at EDS - just check products under PSF [Pure Skin Formulations] for additional details.
If you're skin is not oily, however, this may be too dry for you but I've also heard great things about PSF pumpkin mask as well.
Good luck! |

For mud masks, dont wear it over ten min, better in 5 min. And put on a thick layer, otherwise you will feel day. |

I also like the Osea (red algae) one but it doesn't suck up the oil at well so if you're looking for one that does you'll have to go with the ones that have more clay in them. Since you don't have particularly acneic skin you won't need one that's too heavy duty on the cleansing front, so any simple clay mask will do. I actually just got a sample of Ahava's Purifying Mud Mask and it's quite nice without being drying. I find it soothes my skin after extractions as well. I used the one for normal/dry skin (it's so nice how they have a choice!) The other ones I have liked though may be too drying on your skin so I won't recommend. |

i agree!
i love the acne mud mask, it sucks all the oil out. when u leave it for half an hour, u can actually see the mask has these little dots of oil!
but i do think that it might be too strong for ur cheeks, so i usually apply the mask on my forehead and nose.
its great for acne too, if they are just about to form, spot treat it overnight and the next morning it should be all gone..however, it doesnt work if the pimple is already formed
its really cheap too, comes in a small little jar but it lasts for ages! ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

My favorite is the Dr. Hauschka's clay mask (the refills are just over $30 dollars), followed by the Astara Blue Flame mask, then Decleor clay mask, and for spot treatments the most drying is the PSF clay mask. |

I like plain Dead Sea Mud mask. I buy it from health shop and add my own EO (if I feel like it). It's cheap and helps with breakouts and cuts oiliness on my T-Zone. |

For deep cleansing, I recommend Earth to Body's Clay-Neem Treatment (it's not a mud mask but it's good).
For moisturization, I recommend either Aloette's Redefine PS Advanced Nourishing Masque or Aloette's Skin Renewal Mud Masque. |

A cheap alternative: Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. It's a clay mask with sulfur. I use it on my t-zone and love it. It wicks away the oil but is not too drying. It's also very effective as an overnight treatment on hormonal chin acne. |

The Dr Hauschka Clay Mask is great, another two nice ones to give a go are Korres Chloryphyll Mask and Juvena Clean Up Mask. I found the Queen Helene Mask way too drying on my skin. |

Has anyone tried the Pur Minerals Mud Mask? If so, does it really pull the blackheads out like the owner claims? |

There are tons of clay masks that seem to be good.
A few years ago I bought the HR Earth mask which was good. Of course they heard that I loved it so they discontinued it
I also tried the raisin mask by sisley and it's very good but costs too much.
Someone mentioned the SC clay mask and I've seen many good reviews about it.
Just do a search for clay masks and check the reviews on MUA ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Which one did you try? I've tried the White Algae and the Red Algae. I was totally underwhelmed by the White Algae and pleasantly surprised by the Red Algae. ![Smile](images/smiles/smile.gif) |

I like the Queen Helene Mud Pack Masque and Lancôme Pure Empreinte. I find the first one to be good for skin texture while the last one is more deep cleansing. |
