Is getting a professional micro once a month bad for your skin (cause more broken caps, thinning skin, more reactive skin?). Have anyone done regular professional micro and get good results? Also, should you get a hard OR mild micro: the hardest you can tolerate hence more dead skin comes off OR just enough to exfoliate but you may not feel anything against your skin? Thanks. |

I always thought it was good for your skin to have a light professional micro monthly. Anyways, that's what I did for approximately 18 months. Micro monthly, then 2 weeks later, I'd have a peel (30% glycolic). The micro was very light, though I had friends get very abrasive ones and look like they were in a cat fight (and the cat won!). At the time I was following this routine, I couldn't see the difference, but people used to comment on how good my skin look. I moved out of state about a year ago and have yet to find an esthetician. And, I look in the mirror and think my skin doesn't look as good as it used to.
I'm interested to read other replies to this topic. |

I recently had a professional microdermasion session done but i think it was a mild one. It was by Crystalclear.
My skin was a bit pink and i couldnt put anything on it for the rest of the day. The next day my skin felt lovely and smooth and brighter.
Whilst i was at the appointment i asked how many treatments where recommended and my specialist told me to have a session once a week for 6 weeks followed by a maintenence session every 6 weeks there after.
This is abviously not to be done with the stronger professional ones

I recently had 2 microdermabrasion facials.
I did find that my skin was smoother for the next day or two but after that it resumed to the way it was before.
I know that they recommend 1 per week for 6 weeks and then 1 every six weeks after that but I think that regular exfoliation at home is just as good. |
