I've been experiencing less breakouts now that the stress in my life is getting better. I've been using the Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel and my skin is looking much better, but my orange peel skin texture could use some help.
What should I use? Retinoids? Vitamin C? AHA/BHA? |

Hanna, once I got breakouts under control with the Murad acne treatment line, then I moved onto other products to refine my texture.
IFP 5%BHA/10%AHA
EpidermxII
Cellular Skin RX - Firming serum - Vitamin C 12%
PSF 1% Retinol
Silken Pearl 5% BHA souffle
To be honest, I'm not so sure what Vitamin C and Retinol have contributed to smoothing my texture and reducing appearance of large pores. I'm using them more for preventative measures I think but I HAVE seen a big difference once I started the BHA/AHA treatments and manual exfoliation with EpidermxII.
Good luck,
athena |

thanks so much! I've been looking into the BHA/AHA's for a while now, but can't settle on a brand! I really wanted to try ifeelpretty but they don't ship to Canada ![Sad](images/smiles/sad.gif) |

have you thought of microdermabrasion or Fraxel from a dermatologist?? |

I've been looking into microderm, but it'd take so many sessions, and for my deeper pitted scars i wouldn't help. I'm contemplating getting a TCA peel done, but will have to wait for the fall (thus avoiding major sun damage in the summer, and wind damage in the winter)
In the meantime I was looking for something to incorporate into my regimen on a daily basis, and I'm thinking an AHA/BHA is the way to go! It's now a matter of finding one with an appropriate stength/pH at a reasonable enough price! |

Hi hanna, are you sure about that? I just checked the website and there is a section about shipping to canada if you click on the shipping link. |

It says they'll ship the creams, but not the other liquid verions. |

Maybe you can try "Paula's choice"- this line has 2% BHA lotion/gel/liquid and AHA as well. I have always ordered from there.
Also, you can check out http://www.larachem.com/
which is based in Canada ( I haven't ordered from them yet). |

EpidermX II has totally refined my skin. It's so much smoother now and the acne scars have faded significantly. ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

My skin, although still acne prone, is otherwise getting much more refined. I think it's a combo of Jan Marini Bioclear, transformation cream, and Clarisonic. |

Breakouts are usually cause by stress, not eating right, overworked (underpaid), etc...
First thing you should do is correct the above. Find some time for yourself, relax alone or with friends, drink lots of fruit juices, no carbonated drinks (please!).
Try my advice, and let me know the results later

I have to disagree jade. Drinking tons of juice breaks many people out (sugar, citrus) and Ive made really good money and STILL had acne. You are not leaving any room for genetics or hormones. If all we had to do was relax for great skin then EDS as we know it would not exist. |

My face has changed with products and diet. I sleep well, excercise, and DRINK LOTS OF WATER! No coffee, no cola, no sugar, no refined foods (white bread, packaged food). Every since I got rid of that and started eating more fish, veggies, etc--my skin has really been awesome! I get a bump or two when I don't eat right or when I can't get enough sleep! |

I seldom have breakouts but when I do, I believe it is because I haven't drank as much water as usual or have been drinking alcohol. |

There is an exfoliating mask from Dr. Sebagh. I find this very good for leaving your face soft and your pores refined.
You put it on for about 5 mins, its stings at first but once its rinsed off your face feels sqeaky clean without feeling dry. |
