Hi
I need to get myself a good waterproof mascara that i can use when on holiday. There are so many choices out there and i have heard that even through some claim to be waterproof they are actually not.
I thought i might be better off getting my eyelashes tinted but i think id prefer mascara as i only have small eyelashes and need to give them some definition with mascara.
Can anyone tell me any waterproof mascaras that they have tried that have actually been waterproof and not smudged down their face due to heat or swimming?
Thanks

A friend popped over the other week and her eyelashes looked gorgeous, I thought she had fakes on, but it was her mascara.
So I brought some myself as I only have small eyelashes and this stuff if definately waterproof, in fact you will need make up remover to get rid of it, it doesn't smudge at all even if you have a bath.
Its the Loreal Volume shocking mascara, but you have to get the one with 2 sections and one section being blue, and the other black. The blue means its the waterproof one.
I've tried many, but this is totally non smudging and excellent in comparison to others I've tried.

I think a lot of Mascaras made by Japanese companies are waterproof. Sana, Shisheido, Kanebo all have such kind of Mascaras.
Also my friend recommended Clarins fix mascara tome. It is said to work like a raincoat after the normal mascara turning it into waterproof. |

yeah i have heard of a Kanebo one. It forms smalls tubes around your lashes but apparantly these can fall off your lashes and leave little tubes on your face.
The Clarins one sounds good as i could still use my good volumising mascara and put that over the top.
Might have to go for the clarins

Lancome Amplicils waterproof mascara and MaxFactor 2000 Calorie waterproof mascara are 2 of my favorites. |

I am in total agreement with the Max Factor 2000 Calorie waterproof. The only problem is, I live in Washington DC and I can't find Max Factor products any where now. This was definitely my HG mascara for years, until I stopped being able to find it.
Isanine, do you know of any places where it is still available? |
