I have read some really great reviews about this MaMa Lotion so I just sent for samples. However; I am currently using the Obagi NuDerm line and was wondering what I substitute it for...would I substitute it for the Blender and Retin A? ANy suggestions? I am currently into my 5th week on the system. Suggestions? Thanks! |

If you were going to substitute with the MaMa lotoin it would replace your Exfoderm/Exfoderm Forte. HTH. |

While I'm on the board....has or is anyone currently using mama lotion? If you are, would you mind sharing some comments about your experience? I've never really had a skin care program before, so anything is going to create a change in my skin. I like the Obagi system a lot, but after reading the boards, I've begun to realize that there is soooooooo much out there.....I want to try everything....This 48 year skin could use all the help it can get...thanks!!!!!!! |

jcber - I know there is a lot of skin care out there, but you really need to stick with a product/products for a few months to reap the benefits or see if the product/system works for you. If you already purchased all the obagi system, that is quite expensive, and you are already into week 5 with only 13 more to go. I would suggest you stay with the obagi at least for 12 weeks, and, if possible, the full 18 to see the full benefits of this system for your skin. Then, you can play with all the other goodies out there! If you want added antiaging benefits with the obagi you can use skinceuticals C, E, Ferulic with the system, as well as either the TNS complex or Neocutis. |

Mystiqkal...I appreciate your words of wisdom.....thanks! I'm glad that I only ordered the samples...
Rileygirl, I have read your comments on another post and know that you are quite familiar with Obagi. I know that you have been quite pleased with your results..keeping my fingers crossed that I will be as happy. I will take your advice and purchase another Nu Derm set for another 6 weeks...It's just that Obagi is really making my wrinkles more prominent...I was getting worried..thanks for helping me hang in there |

No comparisons, as Blender must be mixed with prescription-strength retinol. |

I didn't like it either. I used almost two bottles without any improvements on texture nor complexion. |

Total agreeance! I only used one bottle. The stickiness and smell did me in. Plus, no improvement.
If I would have seen even a slight improvement of somekind, I would have overlooked the smell & stickiness and kept on using it! |

jcber - is your main concern wrinkles or hyperpigmentation? The obagi will help the wrinkles, but I have heard this can take up to 1 year to help wrinkles. You are probably looking more "wrinkled" with obagi because you are undergoing changes in your skin and this is normal. Whatever you decide good luck. I know that not all systems work for everybody and it really is a trial and error! |

A lot smarter I was far too quick to stock up on it but it was probably a sale somewhere |

Rileygirl....Actually, it's both..I have discoloration due to a bad dermabrasion 20 years ago...it's on my jaw line on both sides of my face...kinda like the dr. didn't go down far enough? I also have a few acne scars on my lower cheeks, not a lot and they are not deep....along with the wrinkles....
You are probably right about giving it some time....My face is still in the peely stage...not as bad as I have read for others, so I guess I'm pretty lucky...I am getting ready to order another Obagi set before I run out. I do like the system and have seen my skin improving, I guess you're right...I just need to be patient.. I have an appt. with my dermo on Monday, so I'll ask for her to write a Retin A script for me... The least expensive place to order that I have found so far, is right here in EDs....probably will order from here in the next few days.. thanks for the response...how long have you been using Obagi? |

hi, jcber. I sent you a PM. I am just today ending week 7 on Obagi. 11 more to go! For wrinkles, some people are having luck adding copper peptides with obagi, as well as the TNS Recovery Complex, or the Neocutis gel or cream. I was using the Neocutis for the 1st 6 weeks on Obagi. I did not see any change as far as wrinkles but 6 weeks is not long enough. I stopped using the Neocutis because I felt like it was inhibiting the obagi process. As soon as I stopped, I started flaking a lot. I just started the TNS instead and I like it so far, just for the fact that it is not interfering with obagi like the Neocutis was. Anyway, just some thoughts for you to think about if you wanted to add something to the obagi! |

Just wanted to add that I tired Mama lotion and it was awful - made my skin look all scaly and I think it actually made my hyperpigmentation and scars look 10 times worse. Dips |

hm, I wonder if I can pass it on to my 14 year old son....he has some hormonal acne...you guys think it might be good for him?
Boy, I'm glad I asked the boards, just wish I had asked before I purchased the samples on Ebay...I guess purchasing the samples is better than having spent more money on the bigger product...I wonder why EDS has it listed as the best product 2 years running? |

Boy, do I feel stupid...EDS does not have it listed as one of it's top products, they have it listed as one of their new one's......I have been on so many searches (day through night), I don't know where I've been...I know I have some family out there....wonder if they've missed me today? Sorry EDS!! |

You might have seen it at skincarerx.com - they've had it on their best selling list for a loooooong time.
And seeing it being introduced in a lot of web shops now, there must be quite a few people believing in Mama Lotion's alleged magic |

That's exactly where I saw it..I might just try it on a spot to test it out, just out of curiosity....I'll probably wind up saying the same things that were posted here.... |
