As I dressed this morning, pondering as always what to wear, I realized the choice was very simple. I opted for red white and blue out of respect for those who died and love for my country.
Sept 11, 2001 is one of those defining historic moments shared by millions across the world. I'll always remember what I felt the first time I saw the smoke-filled tower before we realized it wasn't just an accident and the anguish as the first tower collapsed. Going into the office and trying to maintain business as usual while viewing the horrors of those trapped in the towers and the methods some used to escape.
The wound isn't quite as fresh as it once was but it is by no means healed and never will be; tears are very close to the surface.
I grieve with thee... |

Very nicely put athena123. As I was browsing the forum this morning I could not get 9/11/01 off my mind. I wanted to post something myself but you said it all. Thank you. |

It's hard to believe this happened 6 years ago. I still feel like the nightmare was just yesterday. I remember vividly what I was doing on 9/11/01 and heard the news on the radio. It was definitely the saddest day of US history in recent time. |
