The Beta Glucans have been out for awhile.
I am curious what results everyone is seeing ? And,how to do you use it? mixed with other creams or serums ?
I tried the Oat Beta Glucans and found a little tightening(temporary).I have no set routine with it.
TIA

I used BG's as a base with my Vit C serum (last batch, this one is a pure silicone mix) but I loved it, it seemed to give that glow that I did not get with Vit C on its own and also seemed to tighten a tad! I am defonately going back to the BG base Vit C mix ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

I have been using the oat beta glucans with pearl powder to make a primer for mineral makeup. It is not at all a scientific recipe (mix the two together until I get the right feel) but I do like it. I have noticed that the beta glucan has gotten thicker over time. I have kept refrigerated but the first time I made the primer the beta glucan was syrupy. The next time, much thicker even thought it had been refrigerated before each use. I do like the texture the primer gives. It keeps down the oiliness and provides a nice smooth, tight surface for mineral makeup. |

This thread reminds me that I have a bottle of Oat Beta Glucans sitting in refrig. Full strength I find OBG irritating.
Mardy Bum, how exactly do you use it with Vit C? |

Winnie: I have the powdered Beta Oats and made the serum
1/4 teaspoon Lysorbic Acid
Mixed Beta oat powder with water (to replace the Glycerin which is supossed to be (5ml) and then dissolved the Vit C in (5ml of filtered water)
so basically
1/4 teaspoon Vit C
5 ml Filtered water to dissolve Beta Oat
5 ml Filtered water to dissolve vit c
Mix all together and keep shaking every hour for 2 hours.
Now I must admit to my skin having fallen in love with this and I did put some Tamarind Extract in toward the finish of the bottle which made it a really nice consistency also and skin felt like a baby's butt ![Very Happy](images/smiles/biggrin.gif) |

Fantastic idea to add it in a Vit C serum.!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your recipe.
It is so easy to buy something with good intentions, then it just sits there for awhile.
I hope I can find L Ascorbic locally.
Take care
