I'm trying out an Alpha Derma 5-Day pack and I find that my skin is oilier. I usually have normal-to-dry skin and this is causing my forehead to shine (never had this problem before).
I use Skin Prep, then after it just dries, Okusil, C+C and ADCE on deeper wrinkles.
Is it supposed to make skin oilier? |

The same thing happened to me. It does not happen with just the AlphaDerma CE, so it was either the facial prep or the C serum. My guess is the C serum, because I'm using it up on my chest and it makes it very shiny. |

I've been using Janson-Beckett's AlphaDerma CE and the facial prep since December 2005. I've not noticed that it makes my face oily. |

I haven't noticed any oiliness or shininess with these, but I do have pretty dry skin. |

It definitely make me oilier-that's why I stopped using it. My skin felt suffocated (can't think of a better word) as well. The okusil, on the other hand, dried out my eyes & gave me the not so coveted crepey look. My skin is normal/oily. |

It's interesting : Alpha Derma CE actually completely dried my undereye area, my eye-cream (z.bigatti's eye return) couldn't help it, however it is nicely moisturizing without AlphaD. So I'm using AD on my forehead only (some slight wrinkles started to appear there recently . . .), and haven't noticed any oiliness there.
Still funny, how different we're - isn't it. |

I've definately noticed by face becoming more oily while using these products. I think the vit. c or face prep is doing it. |

Add me to the list of people who discontinued using Prep and ADCE because of shine. |

Same here, except that the okusil dried my eyes out & actually made them look worse |

Nope, no oiliness here with AlphaDerma. Mind you, my skin is very dry. |

Yup, I barely got 1/2 way through prep + ADCE and stopped because of the feel and shine.
like Marina said, my skin just felt suffocated and by the end of the day if I rubbed my finger over my forehead I could rub off oil and product (eraser-like rubbings). Also, I found that if my face perspired 30min-1 hour after application I could "feel" the product in the persperation. Those two elements alone are enough to make me stop a product. I am VERY weight sensitive on my face care. |

Too bad, I actually have oily skin... Does that mean CE is not proper for me to use? I'm already oily enough |

Alphaderma CE didn't cause any oiliness for me neither. It's not a heavy cream at all, more like a lotion and for me absorbs well & caused my combination skin to become normal. |
