The lovely Kate at EDS recommended pre-cleanse to me to take off make-up before using my JM cleanser at night. And dollbird pushed me off the edge yet again! I followed the instructions last night, squeezed a bit in the palm of my hands, rubbed the whole thing on my face and eyes (whilst cringing about the oil), then washed it off with warm water, followed by the JM cleanser. The thing is that when I dried my face, there was some make-up (foundation) residue on the towel... Yesterday was a very light m/u day that was mostly gone by the evening, so I'm a bit concerned here. Maybe I'm not rubbing the oil long enough? Do I need to "massage" the thing in? Help, please.

Yes, you apply it to your face then you get your hands wet and massage it in. When you apply the water it will turn a whitish color. Then you rinse it off and then wash with your chosen cleanser. I think it is a great product. |

This is my favourite cleanser.
I find it removes makeup thoroughly.Did you apply to dry skin? You need to massage it in to a dry face to dissolve makeup etc then dampen hands to emulsify the oil. |

hi i have been interested in getting the precleanse too but i just wondered if it actually made a difference cleaning your face twice. I currently use dermalogica daily microfoliant every morning after i cleanse my face. Would it make a difference to add this to my regime as well?

Hi Carolb69, how long do you "massage" and is it a circular motion thing? Then, dampen, more massage and rinse? Does this sound right?
hannahwebbo, it's primarily for removing make-up in the evening if your cleanser doesn't do it. I use the JM bioglycolic cleanser and it's rubbish at removing make-up but good at preping my face for the rest of my JM paraphernalia. |

Yep that sounds right How long I massage in depends on how much time i have or how lazy I feel but its usually about a minute, HTH |

I get much better results from massaging it into the dry skin for a little bit. i think my skin benefits from the bit of facial massage too. |
