Hi everybody,
Have been using JM Bioclear X2 daily and occasionally Epidermix II (like once a week or so). Do you think I could up it to several times a week at night or would that be too much? TIA

I think you might see better results if you used the Bioclear once a day and E2 at least once a day. Im using the combo as well and find this really effective, just remember to use the Bioclear at the opposite time of day of the E2. |

I've used both the bioclear & EII twice a day & my skin is fine...but then again my skin is very thick. Although my skin can handle all the exfoliation, I'm wondering if it would be more beneficial to give my skin a break. Like Vonstella suggested, bioclear in the pm & EII in the am to get rid of the flakies. My plan was to clear my skin of all the scars are & then back off on the exfoliation. |

I read that you should use them at different times to allow your skin to "heal" after the E2. I noticed that I was significantly less red and and breakouts healed faster when I backed off. |

Hi Vonstella. I read as well that the skin does need time to heal & for the collagen to be produced. I tell ya, I'm the worst at following the less is more train of thought. I guess I was thinking that if I used the EII before the bioclear, the bioclear would penetrate deeper. |

Well I use to think the same way, my skin was not happy though. Red and irritated looking at times, so I restrained myself (not easy) and dont use acids after E2. Much, much better! I really recommend using the Crystalyx (sp? too lazy to look it up) after E2, its such a lovely light moisturizer and it feels so soothing. |

Thanks Vonstella and Leidon for your input. Really Leidon, you use both two times a day??! I'll try E2 am and Bioclear in the pm. I think that one week should tell me if this is a good idea or not. I'm not using chrysalyx. I'm using the JM Transformation cream. |

Hiya. Yeah I use them twice a day, but I have rhino skin. I barely even feel a sting when I do a layered TCA peel! But, I know that doesn't necessarily mean that I should exfoliate so much just b/c my skin can take it. Vonstella's logic makes total sense & I will cut back my EII to am. I'm doing JM-bio cleanser & cream, EII(acne) & Obagi clear, blender & sunfader w/Taz .1 (hyperpigmentation) right now & am not even peeling, just a little dryness around the corners of my mouth & nose. I didn't want to let go of my JM products in lieu of Obagi's cleanser/toner/exfoderm b/c the JM bio products are what initially cleared my skin up. But, I wanted to incorporate the HQ to fade the scars faster.
I'm still trying to decide what moisturizer I'd like to use after I finish my Obagi system. I'm not using a 'moisturizer' right now since Obagi's system doesn't require one, unless absolutely necessary. I tried chrysalyx a couple rounds in the past, but have since strayed. I was trying to decide on whether to incorporate JMs C serum & transformation cream.
But, I just tried a sample of pearl paste & I think that this may be my ticket to COMPLETELY clear skin! It has worked better for me than BP or SA. I used up the sample & have a jar on order, so if this works I think I've finally found a skin care regime to solve all of my acne/hyperpigmentation issues. JM, EII + pearl. |

Hey leidon,
Which brand of pearl cream are you using? |

Hi ritas. The sample of pearl paste I tried was from Carekate, but it was from a purchase that I made from her back in Nov '06. I finally got around to giving it a try & it has definitely decreased what little acne I was still experiencing. I'm pretty sure she has reformulated since then b/c her product list only shows pearl cream. You can order from carrie by pm'g her here on eds or on mua at carekate. Other options are Mary atwww.silkenpearl.com, or Kim atwww.ifeelprettyproducts.com. I've read raves about all three sources. So I don't think you could go wrong with either. I just decided to go with Carrie's version b/c that was the sample I tried. Kim will probably be the quickest source. She is also very helpful in answering any questions you may have about her products. I also purchased pearl powder, but have not gotten around to making my own batch...I think I'll leave the DIY to the pros |

Leidon, I am using the transformation cream - which I love. I've also ordered the JM C-ESTA, so we'll see how this works. I am one of the few exceptions in the world who cannot tolerate Pearl cream. I;ve given it a few gos - from all the sources you mention - but I keep breaking out from it. Maybe it's all in my mind!
What do you mean by E2(Acne)? I thought there was just one version of Epidermix II? |

Hey Cat.
I am going to order some of Mary's Pearl Paste as well since she has kept the original formula, although also expanded. The sample of Carrie's I think was probably closer to the original pearl paste recipe. I'm sooo afraid of starting another breakout since I'm finally getting it under control.
Re. e2 (acne),I guess it functions as both part of my acne & hyperpigmentation regime. But yeah, there's only one EII. Let me know how the JM c serum works for ya. I know I said I was going to try my Mychelle, but every time I reach for it I back away, too chicken right now since Candy's & IS Clinical broke me out. Plus I just started the Obagi about a week ago & a new MMU, so I don't want to freak my skin out too much... so far so good w/the Obagi & MMU. Maybe I'll incorporate the MyChelle in a couple weeks. |
