Hi Ladies,
Please help me. I am confused about the best daily sunscreen. Is Mexoryl better than a zinc/titanium dioxide combo? I read on this forum that the mexoryl used in the US in the Lancome UV expert and in Anthelios is not the same as the mexoryl used in Europe and does not provide the higher UVA protection. I currently use the Shiseido Ultra Protection spf 55 and the Neutrogena with Helioplex spf 45 and am considering Avene, Lancome, Anthelios or whatever you suggest. Does the Mexoryl provide better protection against the short wave UVA than the zinc/titanium combo? I don't use MMU. I understand that the minerals can break down the avobenzene. So I wonder why the Anthelios has the avobenzene combined with the titanium dioxide. Also, what about this tinabsorb? Any insights you could provide are much appreciated. TIA |
