My eybrows are too light and my salon wants 35.00 to tint them. Does anyone have suggestions for me to do it myself? Thanks!

When coloring my hair I use the same product on my brows. I keep a brow brush just for brow coloring. Most of my hair products I get from Sally's Beauty Supply. If you don't color your hair I am sure most beauty supply stores carry kits just for the purpose of brow tinting.

I use the 1000 hr lash tint on my brows. I use black brown on my eyelashes and the brown on my brows. I do both at the same time. (I have blonde hair.)

I'm blond too. Where can I buy the 1000 hr lash tint? It won't be too dark for the eyebrows? Thanks!

Australian website - google search using 100hr lash tint. Quite alot of the ladies here use this.

I use the 1000 hr on my eyebrows and love it. I have blonde eyelashes and brows. I used the Dark Brown and I love it.

Now, I had a dickens of a time with the eyelash part and finally gave up. Someone sent me some tips on PM and I am going to try that next - but was disappointed in my attempt to do my eyelashes.

I was content to see that I could use it for my eyebrows but will still try the eyelashes soon.

The dark brown was not too dark for my eyebrows but I did not leave it on too long either. At first it looked strange to me but after an hour I was used to it and really liked the darker (but not too dark) eyebrows.

I think I will order the Blue Black for my eyelashes - another hint give to me.

Janie, I have been meaning to post about this product because I love it so much. This is a good opportunity to recommend it. It is by Chanel and is called Sourcil Duo Professionel/Professional Brow Duo. It consists of a powder on the colored side and clear wax on the other and comes with a tiny brush for the powder and a comb-like brush for the wax. The powder gives you great control as to how much you want to put on and helps your brows look very natural. The SA showed me how to start in the middle of the brow and replace the end half of the brow first(where does this hair go anyway, after years of plucking, it never does grow back properly). Then you brush on a little on the area from the nose out. Lastly, you use the wax/pomade to set it. My brows have never looked so good. It was a revelation that I could do this myself and have it look professional! Now it's a case of going to the right brow place to have a good line to begin with. I am thinking of going to the Nordy spa, as their prices are better than the hair salons I go to. Try it, I think, you'll really like this set.

I use Just For Men Gel for Beards and Moustaches! It comes in a ton of colors (I'm blonde and fair and I use Medium Light Brown) and it's about 7 bucks for a box that lasts me 6-9 months!

It lasts just as long as the $35 salon tint, maybe even longer. Very easy to use. It's the absolute best thing I have ever found. Love it!!

Janie, I use Chanel too and I'm blonde, but I use a different product than existential lady - mine is called Forme Sourcils and my official review is here. I find it to be just what I need - it gives my dark-blonde brows a little bit of color and definition, but nothing too crazy or weirdly tinted, and it has a nice hold to it. It's a bit pricy but I've had mine for ages and it hasn't gone bad or anything. Check out that other thread for more details, but in my area they had this at Sephora and Nordstrom so I was able to try it out before buying it, and now I feel naked without it. HTH!

Persephone, I used that before I got this 1000 hour tint. It worked great and was inexpensive. I used the light brown/blonde one...

I was getting mine done in the salon and was charged $10.00. Brow tinting would only last 3 - 4 weeks. I was also getting my lashes tinted in the same visit.

I had bought Swiss O' Par lash and brow tint in brown a while ago. Finally this week I decided to do my brows. (More details under my Swiss O par post.) I left the tint on for less than one minute. Looks great and I will see how long it lasts.

Swiss O Par is available at SDM in Canada. You can also google it and find some sellers on Ebay. There is retail and professional types. I had retail.

Your other alternative is to use brown powder with a brush. (Brow powder or brown eye shadow.) Pencil does not give as natural results.
