Hello! It's been awhile since I've had access to a PC, but now I do. It's nice to be back.
I just had my first fraxel laser treatment (the old one) on August 9th. I am thrilled with the results, even after just one time. I had some very shallow rolling acne scars that are gone! The ones that were deeper are still there, but slightly less evident. When I look in the mirror my face is so much better looking it's shocking. The texture is 100% better. I had some major red acne scars that are completely gone. Minor crinkles around my eyes are gone. My face hasn't looked like this since I was a child. I was given percoset and some numbing cream on my face and it was virtually painless except a little stinging under my eyes. First day, looked normal. The second day I looked a little sunburned. Third day I looked tanned and began to peel for about 2 days. I was able to go about my business as usual and no one noticed anything. My mom and my son both commented on how my complexion looks so much better. I give fraxel 5 stars! By the way, I paid 600 USD for one treatment, but if you have it, it's worth it! I think I'll have about 2 more treatments because I'm trying to get rid of a deep 20 year old scar above my eye.
I was speaking to a woman in the waiting room who looked like a beautiful young looking 40 year old. When I asked her age she told me 54! She's had fraxel quite a few times. |

I did a fraxel review back in Feb., but I went thru a reaction with mine that lasted a month or so and it was miserable. I am glad to hear a story of an easier experience. I would do it again now, as I saw the results slowly develop as months went by. |

Sorry to hear you had to go through that.
But yes, even if I had a bad experience I think the results are worth it. |

I have been considering Fraxel for rolling acne scars. I would love it if you would report back to us in 6 months or so to let us know your results at that time. So often on the internet people post their results soon after the procedure, but then never come back to give a long-term report. This is important when talking about lasers because results change over time. According to the surgeons I have consulted, swelling or "microswelling" can last for up to a year after an ablative laser procedure, and swelling makes rolling acne scars look better. However, hopefully collagen is also rebuilding during this time. You would be doing a terrific service to acne scar sufferers if you would post your before and afters a few months down the road. I hope your results at that time will be even better than they are now! |
