I just got my samples of the Tuscan UAD from Illuminare. It is 10-15% LIGHTER and this is the darkest shade that they have. Can anyone suggest what I can use on top like a bronzer or powder to make it a tad bit darker? I would like something that does not clog my pores. Illuminare, so far has great coverage and my skin is bump free! |

OOhh, is it better than Alima?
With respect to bronzer, I think that Guerlain makes the best bronzers. The Terracota ones. Let us know if bronzer can compensate for the lightness. |

Why not try bronzing drops like Dr. Hauschka Translucent Bronze Concentrate? |

Great suggestion about the bronzing drips.
I have tried all of the powder MMU, and well, I'm ready for a change. Actually, I am adding Illuminare for days or nights when I need sweat-proof, thicker coverage. Well, I've used it 3 occasions now, and it does not feel like I'm wearing anything. I plan on trying my Alima tomorrow to see if my skin feels a difference! |

I adore but have problems color matching Illuminaire too.
I end up mixing with regular foundation, which of course, means that I don't get the lasting power.
I suggest sending an email. Can't remember her name, but the founder is really helpful and is always quick to give tips. |

I just had some bronzer powder samples from Alima. I just took the darkest and dusted my face. It worked great! Not too much though, just a light sweep. It's not my "color" but I think that I will look for some other companies who offer quality bronzers. So far, no bumpy skin at all and I wore Illuminare today while working out for 3 hours! I have UBER oily skin and it did not come off! But, no acne flare-ups! Wow! |

awesome. Yeah, I wore Illuminaire when I got married on the beach 8 years ago.
Most long-lasting foundations will dissolve with skin oils. Illuminaire is the ONLY thing I've found that doesn't budge through oil, sweat and water. |

Still using their sample and no break-outs. I was out from 12 noon to 10:00 pm yesterday and it stayed on, but the bronzer powder came off, but my face was clear! |

Hi divalovesmusic,
Is this what you're using?

It sounds fabulous though color matching sound like a nightmare.
Have you tried NCN liquid MMU foundation? I'm trying a few samples at the moment. Dunno - verdict still pending. |

My shade in illuminare is Tuscan Toast as well. Bronzing drops sound like a great idea. Application takes a bit of getting use to b/c of the thick consistency, but once you get it right you get great coverage. I also use their buffing pad. For liquid MMU I've found illuminare to be the best.
I use to add Becca shimmering skin perfector in gold to the Tuscan Toast to get a perfect color match to my skintone, although the bronze shade may work for you as well.
http://www.beccacosmetics.com/index.php?cPath=3_9 Click the link for the Shimmering Skin Perfector. It is water based & contains lotsa good for your skin ingredients like A,B,D,and E
A cheaper alternative would be L'oreal's limited edition bronzing drops. It did break me out though, but I have very acneic skin. You may be able to use it with no problems.
I also found a powder MMU yesterday called Genesis that I am really loving. I want to give it another week though to see if my skin reacts, but I think my search for MMU may be over. |

I have to stop reading these threads. I'm more or less of an NC42 too, so Illuminaire suddenly looks veeerryy appealing!

Oh, yes! That's the one! I got a sample of the NCN also. My sis tried it and she says that it does not have enough staying power. I think that I may order samples of the NCN firming foundation. |

leidon, which shade of the Becca Shimmering Perfector do you use? It's a bit pricey, but the ingredients really look good. I may have to try...oh, no. |

Hey divalovesmusic...I used Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Gold.
I picked up the Genesis MMU at my local mall at one of those stands/kiosks. There was another thread where a gal also found Genesis at the mall as well. |

I went to Sephora over the weekend and they don't sell Becca in the stores anymore
I did end up buying Stila's illuminating foundation in 80 watt. It's sheer so I can easily mix with other products when needed.
I also picked up Cargo's Big Bronzer. Looks great. |
