Hi, I wanted to ask all of you ladies that have tried Radiesse exactly how bad the bruising/swelling is? I have an appointment on Friday but something came up where I may be going on a weekend trip. I'm trying to decide if i should cancel my appointment or continue with it anyway. Will I be able to cover any bruising with makeup for the most part or is it going to be really obvious? Thanks in advance for your help! |

I have had it several times in my nasal folds, I really like it it lasts a long time, down time maybe 1 day,I worked the following day noone noticed, I had a very tiny bruise which I covered with makeup.Make sure to keep it iced the first day.If you get it under eyes it could take much longer to heal, not really recommened for lips and under eyes but great on nasal folds |

I also had it in nasal folds. I had very little swelling but it was all gone by the next day. I did have quite a bit of bruising (I bruise very easily) and it took about a week to go away. In terms of pain and suffering - absolutely nothing so really there was no down time at all. |

Thank you for the responses! I ended up deciding to move the appointment to last night and it went great. After reading through this site, I was fully expecting to have major bruising even though my doc said people rarely bruise but I ended up having absolutely no bruising and with using the topical and dental block, I had no pain either. |

Glad it went well for you. You're so lucky you don't bruise - I bruise just thinking about injections! I'm very happy with the Radiesse though, for me it was much less problematic than Restylane which made me swell up and was very lumpy. |

I did Restylane in early June. I had bruising (I bruise very easily) and some pain for about 2 days that minimized as the 2 days progressed. The bruising I had for about a week. I used concealer and makeup and no one could really tell. I missed work the day after because I was red and bruised.
I am going to try Radiesse next time to see if it goes better. I am very happy with the Restylane, do not get me wrong. If I can get something that will last longer though - I am very interested.
Thanks for sharing info on this.
