Does anyone have this???? If it actually works, I so want one, but I think I'd have to get a voltage converter...but it'd be worth it!

You have to paste the link because of the exclamation.

You snooze, you lose Very Happy I make oven baked French Fries by shaking them in a plastic bag with a Tbsp. oil and seasonings. Plop them in about 400F oven for 20 mins. (turning after 10 mins). They taste great!

You can't click the link, you have to copy and paste it.

The way it works is what interested me...it's seems like the end result is more similar to being deep fried than baked.

Hello Sushi Secret,
I don't know why Lakeland say they can't find the chip fryer that only uses one tablespoon of oil.
I've just clicked on to the link you gave, then clicked 'fryers' in the Search space.
Four fryers came up, including the one I think you want.
It's called the Tefal Actifry, price £149.99
Best Wishes.

my sushi secret, I want one too! I've never seen anything like that before. Wish I knew of a company in Canada that sold those because I'd get one. We eat alot of fries and I know that using the deep fryer as often as we do isn't good for you. This sounds like healthy fries, if such a thing exists. Laughing

Must admit, that's exactly what I do. Dead easy! Although I've also tried the shaking chips in a bag with a little oil, then backing method. They don't taste exactly like normal fried chips, but are pretty nice all the same.

I've tried cutting up potatoes to make home fries, then mixing them in oil then baking them, and they always end up sticking to the baking sheet. I would really like to try something similar to this cooker.

I know...baking them isn't the same. I'm imagining these tasting like McDonald's... wishful thinking!

Have you heard of Hungry Girl, Diana? They have a recipe for butternut squash fries; they're different, but they're not bad.

Those actually don't sound that bad. I'm not a huge squash fan but then I've only ever had it mashed, so I think I might give these a try. Thanks for the link, that site is awesome. I've already signed up for the daily email. Smile
