Hi everyone,

I've just booked in to have a Decleor facial in Selfridges in a couple of weeks, it's a free facial but you need to buy two products afterwards.

I've just bought a full size of my favourite Hydra Floral Cream and the Cleansing Oil so wondering what else I should go for. I already have Balm Essential, Ylang Ylang Aromessence and Night balm.

Would love to hear your favourites! My skin is normal to combination, with some shine in the summer.

Thankyou xx

How about the Hydratenseur for the eyes and some sun care would be great if you are booked to go away somewhere warm.

Sun stuff is a good idea - I'm not going away but have heard their self tan is ok.

I should have said, I'm only 23 and don't have any eye concerns as yet (don't even use an eye cream!) so think the hydrotenseur might be a bit more than I need at the mo.

That does get me thinking though, maybe it would be worth me getting an eye product. I tried the Hydra Floral eye cream but never saw any difference in using it or not, are there any other eye products it might be worth looking at?

Thanks for your reply! xx

What about looking at the aroma white facial cleanser? The aroma white SPF 15 matt moisturer is also gd.

I had it today! I got an Experience D'Lage cream as a birthday present for my Mum, and some Neroli Aromessence for me.

Was absolutely divine!

Hi fidget-jones

Great to hear you enjoyed your facial!

About the hydra floral cream---I was wondering if it has any comedogenic ingredients in it cos after doing a search on it on google, I read that the ingredients list is super long and some people have claimed that such a "natural" akincare line has pore clogging ingredients.

Thanks
YY

To be honest yeahyeah - I'm not sure. I'm really into my skincare but have never got the hang of ingredients lists (i can just about establish whether or not mineral oil is in it!)

All I can say is that I used to have real problems with spots which were sorted by antibiotics and I use hydra floral cream everyday with no adverse effects. Everyone's skin is different, I suppose but I cannot recommend this cream enough.

She did tell me that they are discontinuing the Cleansing Oil though. Having only just found this product I feel somewhat bereaved!!

Have just looked over the previous posts - the Aroma White Cleansing Foam was actually recommended to me as I like wash off cleansers I was told this would have a lovely brightening effect on my skin. I'm going to try the Elemis Sensitive Wash first and then give this a whirl!

I dont know much about the ingredients either! I've bookmarked a few sites that has an ingredient dictionary just so I can check whether its "good" or "bad" !

I've added the cream into my cart but I'm still unsure of whether to get it or not Rolling Eyes

Thanks anyway!

Go for it! I always had blocked pores on my nose, and after my facial today they've never looked better.

I was really worried it would be too much for my combo skin, but it is absolutely PERFECT. I love the stuff!

Ahhh, you've made me want it now! I'm pretty sure I have a sample hanging around in my beauty drawer Rolling Eyes , I might give that a try once my skin gets use to Differin.

Have you happened to try out the emulsion as well?

Yes I have, and I liked it a lot. It's a great one to try for Summer. I ran out of my emulsion a couple of weeks ago and couldn't decide whether to replace it with the cream or the emulsion again. In the end I found a bargain salon size of the cream on ebay so went for that. We don't seem to be having much of a Summer at all this year so it's not been a problem.

I tend to use less of the cream across my forehead to avoid shine. I use the Aromessence Neroli with it which complements it beautifully and is also very balancing to combination skin.

It's a matter of personal choice really, the emulsion is identical to the cream, but more runny!

Hi

Yes, its been raining all week! The great British summer Rolling Eyes

Hmm, maybe if I do a price check on both the formulas and see which ones the cheapest then I'll go for that! I guess now I have to hurry and use up all the three Nuxe moisturisers I bought recently Cool

Because I am using Differin, I want to make my regime less so complicated. The Neroli oil is for oily skin isnt it? My skin isnt that oily at the moment, slightly so on my nose and everywhere else is quite normal but dry.

I keep reading so many good reviews of Decleor (a member here loves Decleor- Vidisha), but I have only used the Prolagene which irritated my skin Sad . However, there are many people on other skincare boards that dont think the masks are any good Confused

No, not at all! Ylang Ylang is for Oily skin. Neroli is recommended for all skin types, as it can balance out any excess dryness/oil/sensitivity and it restores radiance and makes your skin clearer.

I've found it really helped to fade some red marks I've had from spots and my skin is looking really good now, the best it ever has!

I think EDS has a kit (Bouquet of Moisture or something similar) where you get a small size of Neroli to try out. The size you get would last you a couple of months so it would give you chance to give it a good go!

Thanks fidget-jones. I'm wanting to place an order maybe in November (an early christmas present Wink ) but that depends if I have money left! I've got a million things in the cart right now but I need to remove some of them Rolling Eyes but Decleor and Osea are my must try!

The travel kit is called Decleor Bouquet of Moisture Face Set thats on sale at the moment for £22.89, hope its still gonna be that price when I buy it!

The neroli does have seem to have good reviews on MUA and many of the reviewers have commented on the fantastic smell Smile . Only two of the 43 people have experienced break outs from using it!

Yes I often check MUA for reviews before I shell out for stuff.

I used to have real problems with hormonal breakouts, suffered for years, and spent £££ on skincare. Decleor Ylang Ylang balm could clear but not prevent them, so I moved on and tried loads of other things, nothing helped. I finally plucked up the courage to go to my GP around Easter time of this year and he put me straight on oral antibiotics. Within 6 weeks I had completely clear skin and touchwood, it's still clear now. I've got about a month left of my tablets then I'm going to come off them and see how I go.

The best thing is I can buy whatever skincare I like now, it's not a losing battle to get rid of spots anymore! For me that means using products to help dehydration and converting back to the Decleor things I really liked, neroli, hydra floral, essential balm. I'm also using the Cleansing Oil and the Elemis Sensitive Wash. All are fantastic products, so I'm hoping that I can stick with this and finally save myself some money!

Congratulations on your fantastic skin!!!

Wish I went to my GP sooner, but I didnt want to look too needy cos my breakouts werent really life threatening so I just wanted to try out some acne products first. But nothing AT ALL worked and it makes me feel kinda bad for wasting so much money Embarassed
I was too put on oral antibiotics (although on the websites it says that its likely doctors will give you topical stuff before oral treatments, seems like in the UK, its the other way round). Mine did nothing for my acne, so I went back wanting retinoids. Which antibiotics did you take?

Yes definately, I so envy girls with normal skin cos they can use ANY product at all. Great that you've sorted out your regime and have found all your HG products Very Happy

I was the same, I put off going for so long because it wasn't terrible, just persistent and it really got me down. Not to mention living with a trainee doctor who frequently told me I would be wasting a GP's time! I would just always have at least half a dozen angry red spots on my face at any one time, and I'd be getting new ones before the old ones had healed.

I tried topical antibiotics previously but got nowhere with them and had assumed that oral antibiotics wouldn't work either. It wasn't bad enough to warrant a referral to a dermatologist so I sort of assumed a GP wouldn't be able to do anything. I tried proactiv, chinese medicine, freederm, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, Dr Hauschka, but got nowhere. Eventually I just gave up as it seemed nothing I put on my skin made any difference, it seemed like the problem was coming from within, if that makes sense! Finally decided I'd go back when I had a really angry breakout on my back and shoulders, far worse than I'd had on my face. I think that was what made the GP suggest the medication rather than the spots on my face to be honest.

I'm on Minocycline, haven't had any side effects from it. Even the doctor was impressed when I went back for my second prescription with such an improvement. How are you finding the retinoids? GP reckons I should come off the ABs once I've finished this month's packet and then use a topical cream to prevent any coming back. I'm just hoping this course was enough to keep them away permanently Rolling Eyes

OMG---you're basically telling my story there! Well I dont live with a trainee doctor (BTW how dare s/he say that Mad ! We're allowed to think it but to actually say that its a waste of the GP's time is out of line Mad . I thought living with a doc means free medical advice!), but cos our surgery is always packed, I feel like a "minor" problem like mine isnt that big a deal especially that we only have one consultation room in the surgery. And touch wood, I dont have acne on my body expept one or two on my back which goes away pretty quick unlike the stubborn ones on my face...maybe its cos I use all the products thats not working on my face for my body Razz

But I so know what you mean by how its not really the external environment thats causing the spots. And oh so true about new ones forming. I wake up every morning and check if I have any new ones cos I want my skin to look clear-ish for a few more days before I break out again!

I never tried topical antibiotics cos the GP said oral ones are better. I'm finishing the box of antibiotics now--- lymecyline (sp?) and using the retinoid called Differin 0.1% gel right now. I cant say if its working cos I only just started using it on Monday but it seems to heal the pimples quicker than any other acne treatments I've used. I've read great things about Differin and cos I am sick of my PMS breakouts. I practically just told the doctor to write them out for me cos he didnt suggest anything else. He just told me what I already knew from internet searches which he doesnt really approve of (I had a little rant about that on a different thread).

I've used some of the brands you've used excpet for proactiv and freederm but Im still using BP gel to spot treat. What chinese medicine were you taking? I'm taking some too.

I do hope after finishing those antibiotics your acne is gone for good!

Hi Guys,
this month, Decleor is promoting a package of hydra floral moisuturiser - it includes 5ml of neroli oil, 75ml system corps, 2.5ml essential balm & a small perfume vial for the price of the 50ml jar of moisturiser.

i discovered this month, decleor.co.uk have opened online shopping! So, competition for QVC Smile

YY,if you have a decleor sales counter accessible, then, I would recommend getting your facial done with them. They are very good - as it includes a back massage.
