A full month after I placed my order, I FINALLY got the Ferulic Acid I purchased from bulkactives.com, so today I took it to my compounding pharmacy to have them make my C E FERULIC serum. They orginally told me it would be very expensive to make because of the cost of the Ferulic Acid, so I bought my own at a fraction of the cost. Now I realize that I have a cosmetic grade, while the pharmacy would have been using a pharmaceutical grade. Any thoughts on the difference? What are you all using? |

I don't have info on ferulic - I got mine at SAS so I presume it's cosmetic grade and if not doesn't matter. I'm using it for my C serum. It doesn't dissolve well.
Tell about your compounding pharmacy. Are you in the U.S.? Do you take ingredients and a formula and have them put it together for you? Is that a normal business practice for them? I would love to have that service available! |

Compounding pharmacy's custom make whatever you need or whatever your Doctor orders. Mine is a "Natural Pharmacy" so it focuses on healthy approaches...not like regularly drug stores. Yes, I'm in the States (North Carolina.) I can go there and give her a recipe to make since I don't want to have to buy all the ingredients and am always unsure of measurements. So yesterday I brought her the C E Ferulic recipe and she is making that up for me. The pharmaceutical grade Ferulic would be purer for the skin too. We don't know what fillers might be in the cosmetic grade that might be absorbed into the skin. Here is a link to my compounding pharmacy. They ship anywhere. Their website is drab and poorly done in my opinion!-and doesn't reflect the great stuff they do!
