I have seen some in drug stores, they are milky white. but today i received a gift from skinbiology when I ordered Folligen shampoos.
to my surprise the emu oil is like egg yolk. It's packed in June 07 so I dont think it's expired or something, but I have never seen one like that before. |

I have read about the colors of Emu oil. The oil colors are usually White, Yellow, or Golden. Some said Emu oil color can range from creamy white to pale yellow.
The Oil colors depends on the feed the birds are eating. The Different color of the Oil does not matter for it is the same Quality Oil.

I always thought the whiter and clearer the Emu Oil the better This is what I found out in regard to white vs yellow Emu:

Color differences in emu oil are caused by a variety of things, including emu diet and oil processing techniques. Research has shown there to be no significant differences between these two colors of emu oil. |

The Skin Biology Emu Replenisher has other things added to it so I wonder if that may contribute to its colour?
EMU OIL S Lipid Replenisher for Skin Ingredients (from skinbiology.ca website): Peroxide-free emu oil supplemented with ubiquinone, mixed natural tocotrienols, lycopene, leutin, and mixed natural tocopherols. (We prefer to use pure lycopene though at times small brown/red flakes or particles may persist. But this is of no danger to the skin). |
