For some reason i have a chin full of blind pimples. Never have pimples and not sure what's is going on. I am 48 so maybe its hormonal or something.
Anyhoo I use Vit C in the morning and retin A at night. Can I use the Aspirin Mask?
I'm sure I read on another forum that you can'use AHA BHA with retin A but now can't and I think that Asprin has AHA affect.
Any opinions I am desperate to get rid thes bungers as we call them in my family |

I use PSF's Vit C every a.m. and PSF's 0.5% retinol every third night (or at least I try to do it every third night). I use an aspirin mask (plain yogurt, aspirin, honey) twice a week. I have rosacea and sensitive skin, but have had no problems with this routine.
I just realized that I also spritz my face with several hydrosols throughout the day, many of which have antibacterial properties, like lavender, chamomile, and helichrysum. This may attribute to my not breaking out.

Hi jeanine
Do scrub with the aspirin mask as well or do you just wash it off?
Thanks!

I believe you can use AHA and Retin A the alternate time, one at am and the other at pm. It's acutally encourage to use AHA when you are using Retin A, expoliated skin can give you best results since it enhances the skin's ability to absorb actives.
As for your asprin mask, its more like BHA rather than AHA. |

I apply it like a mask, coating my face, neck, and chest. Leave it on for about 10 minutes, then get in the shower and wash it off with a wet, warm washcloth (no scrubbing, just wiping).

Thanks Jeanine!
Its just that I find with the aspirin mask, without scrubbing, I cant really get the results. Maybe I should try it with yoghurt as well, as many have said yoghurt is good for acne as well.
BTW Kate, if you go to Paula Begeon's website, she also suggests that you can use AHA and/or BHA before the retinoid. I sometimes use JM bioclear in the morning then Differin at night and after reading Paula's website, I tried to use bioclear, wait at least 30 minutes then the Differin. I only did this once as I wanted to see how my skin reacts to it and I've had no problems, no dryness, redness nor peeling. When I do have the 30 minutes to spare, I do use the bioclear so I think using the aspirin mask will be fine too!
